  • Poignant, funny, heart wrenching, and hopeful; Kyle Smith has created a brilliant story of coming into your own as a queer person, amidst the pressure (on the court and off) of a men’s water polo team. Anyone who loathed having to go to the locker rooms to change after gym class will recognize the casual cruelty (that seemed almost essential to building team moral) that Smith has managed to capture near perfectly in this examination of toxic masculinity, identity, and community.

  • Even if you haven’t read Lillian Hellman’s original play, you’ll enjoy this beautiful short piece that builds and expands upon the themes of its predecessor. The relationship between the mother and daughter is incredibly well written, and despite only having ten pages to do so, Schwartz manages to explore a whole spectrum of queer anxieties, hopes, and dreams.

  • This short play explores queerness, sex, and internalized prejudice in ways I genuinely could not have expected. An incredible read full of memorable characters, biting dialogue, and a story that will make you say "What the fuck did I just read?" (but in the best way possible.)

  • Sam Heyman never fails to deliver memorable characters and this short play is no exception. This play is a delightful Halloween themed romp is a comedic gold mine for actors.

  • A sweet, beautiful play about the power of identity, family, and a good bagel recipe. Wirsansky’s story is filled with palpable urgency, and reminds us to remember the people and places that make up who we are.

  • William Meurer: overlap

Beautiful, silly, and absolutely heart breaking, Overlap is a brilliant play that explores multiple relationships that are cut short by a tragic accident. Proctor’s characters are excellently written. Each person has their own set of anxieties and challenges, but you also see how much possibility is ahead of them; which makes it all the more devastating when that possibility is taken away from them.

  • William Meurer: revelations from the first and last ever rehearsal of THEY SAY I DID SOMETHING BAD: an unauthorized taylor swift parody musical about the life of the unabomber ted kaczynski presented by the bridgebrook college drama club

Had the pleasure of seeing this incredible play both times it was at the Tank in NYC. This play is equal parts beautiful, cathartic, and utterly stupid. Courtney Taylor manages to deliver beautifully sincere moments alongside unhinged comedy without one ever feeling like it's overpowering the other. It's often said that if you can't laugh about something you'll cry. Taylor Swift/Unibomber Play gives you space to do both.

  • William Meurer: BLOOD/SUCKER

Blood/Sucker is unique and chilling horror play that uses vampirism to explore the issues plaguing educators and students alike in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. In a time when education and critical thinking are under constant attack, Guerzon has created a chilling reminder of what is at stake if we give in to ignorance.

  • William Meurer: it's been ten years since everyone died

"It's Been Ten Year's Since Everyone Died" is an exceptionally crafted and thoughtful exploration on gender identity, trauma, and the classic horror tropes we all know and love. Oritz's characters are richly complex; and when left alone together in a house with no signal, and no way out, they create a ticking time bomb of suspense and gore that is sure to leave any horror fan satisfied.

  • William Meurer: Lost Time

Wether you’re already familiar with the work of Proust, Megan Lohne’s play about a young group of artists navigating life and loss in the wake of the Covid 19 pandemic will grip you with it’s immediacy, artistry, and vulnerability. Weaving in the recorded interviews of people’s real life struggles during lockdown, Lost Time is a uniquely inventive theatrical experience that stays with you long after you’ve left the theater.
