  • Mathew Green: Imaginary You (Bascom & Isaac #4)

Another tender and worthwhile interlude with Bascom & Isaac. These episodic plays never fail to elicit feelings of warmth, concern, and joy. Cozy yet spiky, inviting but never losing the idea that nearly all relationships are sea journey with barely legible maps.

  • Mathew Green: Incognito

This play is an utterly delightful ride on a Tilt-a-Whirl inside a House of Mirrors inside a Bounce House. One can only imagine that it would be as fun to stage as it is to read. Thrilling, giggle-inducing theatre.

  • Mathew Green: I Love You More

A very sweet and completely absorbing sibling play. So easy to slip into and feel like you're eavesdropping. Relatable characters, excellent dialogue, and natural pacing. Very, very well done.

  • Mathew Green: Laundry Day

I love this play so much. My lifelong affection for comic books makes the premise instantly intriguing, but the real draw here is the humanity of the characters. The friendship between Sam and Chase is tremendously well-drawn. A great story, told with care and great attention to human and superhuman detail.

  • Mathew Green: Sound and Fury (adult version)

A beautifully crafted bit of meta-comedy, as well as a delightful depiction of male friendship. As fun to read as it would be to see in person.

  • Mathew Green: The Well-Intentioned Reuben

It can sound dismissive to call something a "slice of life," but this fits the bill in the best possible sense. This conversation, which never fails to ring true, gives us insight into the characters, offers us challenges, and gives us hope. It's a gift to the reader, and a lovely 10-minute excursion.

  • Mathew Green: KEEPING SCORE (A 10-minute play)

A brief, breezy riff on the classic date from hell in which it's all in the timing. This play offers just enough insight into the three characters to leave you wanting to know (and see) more. Highly enjoyable throughout.

  • Mathew Green: Short Cut in the Cemetery

Much like our protagonist, Joe, you will not predict the end of this short piece. A great example of a playwright taking advantage of expectations and subverting them.

  • Mathew Green: Cricket

This 10-minute piece is a lovely reminder that simple, effective writing and stagecraft can be extremely powerful. "Cricket" is gentle, funny, and sincere.

  • Mathew Green: Not That Ed

Very easy to picture this wild ride playing out on stage. Excellent pace, dramatic reversals, and a very clever script. Delightful work.
