  • Christopher Plumridge: One's Cup Of Tea

I totally enjoyed reading this piece by Dunne, as an English man I pictured myself as the eccentric waiter, his voice in my mind took over instantly and I had lots of fun! This is a very quirky play, I believe that an English accented waiter will perfectly offset the American ladies going to tea! I would truly love to play that role! Brilliant and fun!

  • Christopher Plumridge: C.G (Coronavirus Gone) Day

This is a true reflection of how we all must have felt during lockdown, being a fellow UK resident as the author I could easily relate to Hannah and Lukes claustrophobic situation together. Rachel capturs this perfectly, her young characters thrown together for months are sometimes frustrated with each other but their love holds them together. Very well written!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Devil of Mercy

What profound and deep writing this is from Fields in such a short piece, I am in awe of writers who can set the scene so well, so quickly, as in this piece. Reading this, to be honest I feel uncomfortable, but that's the beauty of this, it makes you FEEL, to me, to feel such strong emotions is important. This is incredible, give it a read!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Jill and Jack

Having written some alternative nursery rhymes I couldn't resist reading this one from Probst, what a great idea this is! The Writer allows Jill to turn this story on its head and along the way we discover their true friendship. Now it's left me wondering why Humpty Dumpty was even allowed to sit in the wall, was there no risk assessment done? Great!!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Lollipop, Lollipop

Behind the brightly colourful facade of the diner and the characters vivid clothing and personalities lies a sinister world which unravelled as this short went along. Reading this my mind changed several times trying to figure out the ending, when I came it came as a shock. DeFrates has created a strange new world so vividly in such a short piece, give it a read, it's great!!

  • Christopher Plumridge: WHOSE PANTS ARE THESE? - COMEDY

Great fun, fast passed family shenanigan's, exactly the sort of trick my parents would pull! I really enjoyed this and could visualize it perfectly, although I tried to block out the image of the tight trousers, I'm with Izzy on that one, eek!

  • Christopher Plumridge: If Scars Could Talk

What an interesting perspective, to have two scars in discussion. Rita brings real life to both characters in this brilliant monologue, after a while it became clear (to me) that they are voicing the lady to which they belong, her pain and fears, so then it took on a whole greater meaning. Excellent!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Listening

What a lovely, heartwarming play this is, beautifully narrated by Hailey. Music is truly inspirational and evocative, to pass it onto the next generation is a must and something I strive to do. So reading this put a lovely tune in my heart. Wonderful!

  • Christopher Plumridge: LIFE AFTER WONDERFUL

What a heartwarming short play this is from Lermond, it's left a warm glow in me for the rest of the day!. My life is currently wonderful and it makes me think and fear of a life after this wonderful, so I am inspired to write my feelings more often, so thanks so much for that. Give this wonderful play a read!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Down to the Last Fresh Body (a monologue)

What a horribly fun play this is, thankfully the current pandemic didn't head this way! I agree with the other review of this play by Asher, you really are drawn into the room by the narrator, I felt uncomfortable but equally excited to be there! Great fun!
