  • Kara Emily Krantz: END OF PLAY.

Definitely got a kick out of this short, witty play. A great reminder to us all to take feedback with a grain of salt and (although be willing to grow and remain malleable) - also remain true to our visions.

  • Kara Emily Krantz: AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION, A Play for Videoconference

I'm not sure what just happened, but it sounds about right! Certainly an Ives for the Age. I lost my mind a little more than I already had, but I certainly heartily enjoyed the process!

  • Kara Emily Krantz: INERTIA

I'm officially in love with everything about this delightful play! I had heard all the rage about Carnes' sock monkeys and NOW I UNDERSTAND. Whimsical and brilliant!

  • Kara Emily Krantz: Playing With Fired

These ponies keep partying! This show is quirky, cute, well-paced and endearing. Interesting and unexpected in its plot narrative and message, this little play is another heartfelt and an enjoyable experience from Hayet.

  • Kara Emily Krantz: A Lady Who Collects Spiders Meets A Gentleman Who Collects Snakes

What a sweet, silly (in the best way!) play! The voices are clear; the dialogue straightforward yet maintaining a quirky, enjoyable lilt throughout. And the ending is a delight.

  • Kara Emily Krantz: Date with Death

Irreverence & absurdity are my favorite aspects of comedy, and this play has it in spades! A true 10-minute, with fleshed-out characters and an actual and interesting story arc. Chose it to read with my Acting class, and they absolutely loved it.

  • Kara Emily Krantz: 19 Excellent Reasons to Date Matthew Weaver (a monologue)

MATTHEW WEAVER. I have tears in my eyes. This was absolutely moving, and as I read it kept striking my heart in new, wonderful ways at each step. What an exemplary example of using our words as power, as manifestation, as love- for ourselves, for others, for the world.

And funny! Matthew Weaver is a funny, wonderful, gallant, delightful man!

  • Kara Emily Krantz: Snowman of Vengeance

Whoa, this got weird fast, and I approve.

  • Kara Emily Krantz: Djarum Vanilla

I'm a wild proponent of oddball pairings, and the two main characters here are a dream for that quirky, raw, intensely personal but occasionally tumultuous connection that can happen between people - especially those who are personally going through intense transformation and struggle. How can we be there for someone else without a strong foundation of our own? How can we compassionately be present for another when we are demanding (and needing) the same understanding? Very topical and 'of the times' while also an intimate portrayal of intimate story.

  • Kara Emily Krantz: A Play Within a Play Within a Play

A delightful whirlwind of quirkiness and meta-romance, this play would be a great selection for any 10-minute festival or publication - good for all ages, schools, etc. The audience enjoys a blend of figuring out the scenario and laughing at the antics and awkwardness of the two endearing characters.
