Award winning author, Peter Anthony Fields, was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A. From 2003 to 2015, Fields produced, directed, and edited fourteen short and feature-length, independent films. His work as a filmmaker came to an end when he was diagnosed with young onset Parkinson’s disease in 2015.

Faced with this life challenge, Fields decided to become a playwright for the theatre which allowed him to remain creative and not have the stress that comes with filmmaking.

Fields has written an adventure/fantasy novel for middle grade readers entitled A FARAWAY PLACE, as well as several stage plays which have been read or performed at festivals in Ohio, U.S.A., Texas, U.S.A., Wisconsin, U.S.A., and London, U.K. His play, ABOUT MICHAEL, was awarded the second place Audience Appreciation Award at the Sky Blue Theatre Company’s British Theatre Challenge: Act II. His full-length play, THAT GUY, was awarded the top prize in the Performing Arts category for the 2020 Best Book Awards, sponsored by American Book Fest.
