Artistic Statement

As a neurodivergent artist, I find that unusual methods can lead to incredible results. My writing style is informed largely by a search for absolute truth and clarity through the art of performance. I love to create an engaging, collaborative, and fun environment for characters and stories to live within. With a focus in musical theatre direction and new works for the stage, I am no stranger to a rehearsal or production meeting. As an artist, I'm constantly reexamining and pushing the intersection of text, music, and form, all while continuing to explore stories about marginalized and complicated characters. I've considered myself a writer ever since I first learned how to write a full paragraph in grade school. Screenplays, pilots, lyrics, short stories, plays— you name it... and I've created expansive and dangerous worlds for her characters to play inside of it. In our ever-changing world, I'm constantly researching the newest mediums and hottest projects. In the past, I have collaborated with artists across the globe to write, direct, and act in multiple digital projects.
