As an artist, I aim to be:

1. MODERN- Do not make my artistic choices identical to those before me. I look forward, and not back.

2. UNIQUE- Try to stand out from the rest of the crowd by looking for the choice less taken.

3. CONFIDENT- Don’t apologize for any artistic choice I make. No matter how wrong it may be.

4. AUTHENTIC- Every play that I write must have come from a genuine place, and not just meaningless pages of pandering to the audience.

5. CREATIVE- Always make sure to experiment with new ideas, and styles, to keep contributing to the theatre world.

6. INQUISITIVE- Try to always make the messages of my plays able to spark conversations between audience members on topics they normally try to avoid, regardless of their overall opinion on the play itself.

7. INFORMED- Always read new plays to keep up to date with what current trends other writers are exploring.

8. DETERMINED- Write the play that they need to see.

9. RESILIANT- Don’t let the no’s change who I am as an artist.

10. TENACIOUS- No matter how much I give, I can still give more
