Asher de Forest is an early career playwright. He holds a BA in English (Creative Writing) and Theater and Dance from Macalester College. In 2021, he received honors in directing and the Ruth Easton Leadership Award from Macalester's Theater and Dance Department. His plays have been recognized by Global Playwright Series (2022 semifinalist), Epiphanies New Works Festival (2024 shortlist), National Playwrights Conference (2024 semifinalist), the Stage Spirit: Dini Ostrov Award in Playwriting (2026 recipient), and the George Burns and Gracie Allen Scholarship and Fellowship in Comedy (2026 recipient).
