  • I Am An Island is a beautifully imaginative and deeply human play that balances humour and heartbreak with remarkable ease. Julia Lederer creates a vivid, theatrical world that feels both whimsical and urgently relevant, exploring connection, denial, and survival with clarity and compassion. It’s smart. Looking forward to seeing it when it opens at the Here For Now Theatre in Stratford, ON

  • An engaging short play that brings Hazel Ying Lee to life with humour and heart. The piece balances historical context with accessible storytelling, making it suited for educational and festival settings. The metaphor of perseverance lands well.

  • Wirsansky has written an entertaining, full of heart, comedy that is smart and character-driven, and the stakes feel meaningful.

  • Wirsansky's clever short play about heroine Nancy Wake is a humorous and powerful encounter with Gestapo soldiers letting their guard down to a witty woman. WW2 stories of heroes need to be continually told on stage and especially about brave and brilliant women like Nancy. I loved reading this encounter that has been written so well.

  • This script clips along like a great comedy with witty and well defined characters should. I love the comical banter that creates an engaging and appealing play. And as every good play does, a clever and pleasing ending brings it to a close. What a great ride!

  • Len Cuthbert: The Children's After-Hour

What a great 10-minute snapshot into the post story of The Children's Hour. This is an intriguing scene that presents just the right amount of information to keep the reader/viewer engaged and curious as the scene unfolds. The combined conflict, innocence and honesty of the final moments of this play provides a powerful message. Enjoyed reading this!

  • Len Cuthbert: Remembering Margot

There are so many equally relevant stories from this era that are worthy of being told. I love that Claudia Haas has stepped up to dramatize the perspective of Margot. It's so valuable to learn about Margot in the same way we know about her sister Anne. Margo's choices, viewpoint and character are just as influential. Thanks for Remembering Margot and for telling her very important story in a unique and interesting way!

  • Len Cuthbert: Service with a Smile

Now that we're in the "sort of" post-covid era, Rachael's play is a reminder of the strange reality we persevered / tolerated. Sadly, it's not just a snapshot of the influence of Covid, it's about humanity and continues to be relevant.

  • Len Cuthbert: Death Does Larry

Death Does Larry is a fun conversation with very natural dialogue, that takes a unique approach to the (late) arrival of the grim reaper. Looking forward to seeing Cary's play on stage at the Newmarket International Play Festival Sep 2022.

  • Len Cuthbert: The Most Precious Thing

Comical, clever, witty and moving. All the ingredients of a great play wrapped up in just 10 minutes. Loved it.
