  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: A KNIPPLE FULL OF DREAMS - ten-minute period drama

Forced into marital servitude, Libby seemed to have abandoned her dreams, hopes, and self-care and taught her daughter Gittel how to follow the rules and serve men- until Gittel was about to be coerced into following her mother's footsteps. Ariana Rose's "A KNIPPLE FULL OF DREAMS" is a wonderfully crafted period piece that resonates with today's world. The play generates a warm, glowing feeling; it is an incredible feel-good story about hope, courage, and motherly love. Brilliant!

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: Bits and Pieces

Death is but a tiny inconvenience in the quest of these ladies to find their bodies and discover the causes of their demise. And once they found it, all hell broke loose. Maryellen DeVivo's "Bits and Pieces" is a delightful Frankensteinesque comedy involving three "ladies" and a scientist. Full of witty dialogues and physical comedy, this play will provide a field day for the director, actors, and costume director and will become a crowd pleaser in many festivals.

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: Pennies and Bolts

Oscar A. L. Cabrera's "Pennies and Bolts" is a beautiful play about a patient recovering after a stroke, a therapist helping a patient despite his own turmoil, and a daughter helping her father. But at its core, it's a play about suffering, triumphing over grief, and rediscovering each other while recovering from loss. It gives hope and glowing warmth that fulfills the audience. The actors and director would have a field day, and the audience will enjoy immensely this brilliantly crafted story.

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: Slapjack Saturday

Each of us deals with grief in our unique way, and for Darlene, that way involves a corn-nut-loving furry little critter! Brenton Kniess's "Slapjack Saturday" is a beautiful work about loss, grief, and redemption. Brenton has a unique way of portraying grief, packaging it in the wrapper of laughter, and dishing it out under humorous circumstances. This is the sort of play that fills the audience with a strange warmth as we all relate to the joys and sufferings that life brings about. Tremendous scope for the director and the actors, as well. Brilliantly done!

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: Time Telescope

Don't we all wish to go back to those high school days? Not only to cherish golden memories but also to laugh at our own selves- stupid, pathetic, selfish, pompous, teenage selves. Kitty Harper's "Time Telescope" is a beautiful, sweet play that looks at the joy, angst, and laughter during the school days through the eyes of two grown-ups. Almost all the audience members will be able to relate to one or the other characters or events of this play and nod their heads appreciatively or sadly. Tremendous scope for the director and the actors, as well. Brilliantly done!

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: The Golden Rule

Dan Taube's "The Golden Rule" is a brilliant play dealing with workplace bullying, academic politics, and racial and social prejudice. Everyone has faced one or another issue raised in this play; we all have encountered our own "Hellen"s, and I wholeheartedly hope that someday we will be able to treat Hellen the way "Sara" did. The director and the actors will have a field day, and the audience, thoroughly entertained by the biting dialogue, nuanced plot, and twisted ending, will go home with a strange warmth that the play will evoke. Marvelously written.

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: First Date 2099

Instead of moving from the first base to the next, you authenticate the first contract and progress to the next! The year is 2099, and people date with defined contractual obligations. Mike Byham's "First Date 2099" is a brilliantly imaginative take on the future of dating. There are signs of scientific progress and hidden interpretations in a future society. Yet, the children break the rules, and people try to fall in love spontaneously, sorry, hasten the process of "activation of partnership." This is a witty, funny, and tremendously enjoyable play, especially relevant in the age of AI...

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: The Unrest Cure

A quiet English village, an elderly couple, and a strange visitor with an elaborate hoax- "The Unrest Cure" by Alice Josephs is a story of intricate manipulation that resonates well with modern audiences. Adapted from Saki and equally well suited for both stage and screen, "The Unrest Cure" is set in an Edwardian English village but is very relevant to the internet age, where we all experience scammers in one form or another. A perfect blend of comedy, satire, and horror will provide great entertainment for the audience, and the director, actors, and set designers will have a field day!

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: Flight of Fancy

In just seventeen short pages, Morey Norkin fascinatingly explored what being a human really means! A perfect blend of wit and comedy, innocent love-at-first-sight, and AI-enabled explanation of the futility of love with a robot, "Flight of Fancy" is a brilliant play that provides excellent lighthearted comedy and asks profoundly relevant questions that we all may soon face. The actors and director would have a field day, and the audience will enjoy this brilliantly crafted story immensely and look forward to further development.

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: Pause

Wow! So many emotions, such a myriad variety of interactions without uttering a single word! Ricardo Soltero-Brown's "Pause" is a masterfully crafted play dealing with poignant, meaningful silence encompassing a mundane snippet of everyday life. I would love to see the play on stage!
