  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: The Peculiar Puppets of Philip Platt

A grieving puppeteer, his puppets, and a caring friend come together in Brenton Kniess's brilliant play, "The Peculiar Puppets of Philip Platt." This is the sort of feel-good play that fills up the audience with a strange warmth. Along with a grief-stricken Philip, the audience finds solace in a strange place. The perfect blend of multiple shades of emotions, "The Peculiar Puppets of Philip Platt," would be a delight to watch and, I am sure, a joy to perform. Marvelously constructed!

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: PHIL GRUNENWALD'S KID (Three Pages)

Melissa masterfully crafted a story of love against the backdrop of the ongoing war in her "Phil Grunewald's Kid." The comic timing of Jerry's marriage proposal to Suzanne before the night of his deployment is counterbalanced by Suzanne's prayer, clutching Jerry's garrison cap. The audience would pray that one day she would be able to return the cap to the living person who owned it. And then there are the neighbors, never seen but always heard, affecting every aspect of the action and dialogue, just like the ongoing war beyond our daily lives. Brilliantly written!

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: Lady of the Manor

Debra Cole poured a dose of reality TV obsession into her creative cauldron, added a splash of British history, mixed with a hilariously unexpected family reunion, and masterfully concocted a story about a strange cultural clash encompassing both sides of the pond! "Lady of The Manor" is a wonderfully witty short play, and despite its short duration, it packs quite a hilarious punch! Brilliantly done!

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: Silent Vows

Christopher Plumridge has shown us so many things in his play, "Silent Vows," without uttering a single word! Silence became poignant, humorous, hysterical, and meaningful in his hand. "Silent Vows" is a fascinating creation by a master storyteller. The director and actors would enjoy performing the antics of a monk and a nun, and the audience would love every single "silent" moment.

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: Come Back Right

Aly Kantor's "Come Back Right" is a brilliant, imaginative, and surrealist play. Aly repeatedly serves the same scene but with different conflicts and outcomes each time. Aly magically weaves a fantastic supernatural horror story around the mundane premise of a mad scientist bringing back somebody from beyond death. The actors would have a field day, and the play would continue to haunt the audience for quite some time.

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: DOUBLE TROUBLE, a 5-minute comedy

Arianna Rose's "Double Trouble" is a brilliant 5-minute comedy! The director and actors would have a field day designing and performing the antics of newborn twins, one an old soul, another born for the first time. Beyond the simple exterior, within the naivete of two newborns, lies the truth of life: it's beautiful, and it isn't easy! Arianna Rose is a fantastic playwright who serves the essence of life with a double dose of hilarity."Double Trouble" is short, witty, thought-provoking, and masterfully done.

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: Backyard Stonehenge

"Backyard Stonehenge" is a small but powerful work by a master storyteller. It starts with an absurd comic action, and I started thinking about how the actor would have a field day working on the physical comedy. But like most real-life comedies, the story instantly dissolves into the bitter-sweet fountain of life. In this profoundly allegorical play, Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn creates a compelling emotional world where two lovers try to bridge the distance with stolen materials from a scary neighbor!

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: What Is the End of Everything?

Dick has problems with G's, in more ways than one, and "everythink" is not well in Dick and Anne's bedroom! "What Is the End of Everything?" by Marilyn Ollett is a hilarious bedroom comedy. It's short, witty, and packs a tremendous comic punch.

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: Today's América

"TODAY'S AMÉRICA" is a tiny 10-minute play by Zareh Artinian and Brian Cirulnick that delivers a big punch. Very relevant to contemporary society, frighteningly real, especially the monologues at the beginning and the end, and disturbingly accurate about what's going on. The director and actors will have a field day, and the audience will feel the passion and anger that stems from the play. Tiny but fierce. Brilliantly written.

  • Abhisek Bhattacharya: Kangaroo (Ten Minute)

Paul Donelly's "Kangaroo" is a fantastic short play exploring relationships, values, and boundaries. But above all, it's a play about friendship, about the kind of friends with whom you can discuss everything, who seems to know you better than yourself and is willing to lend an ear and a shoulder when the need comes. This two-person play will be an excellent opportunity for the actors to show their acting chops, and the audience will start remembering their old friends.
