  • Morey Norkin: How It Turned Out

A fascinating look at the look at the marriage of an internationally acclaimed novelist and a renowned Hollywood actress. Alice Josephs’ dialogue is sharp and witty as you would expect from such a couple. The memories they evoke are heartbreaking, yet the characters take a pragmatic approach to the issue currently facing them. I’m glad to see this play has had a public reading, and I hope more presentations are in store.

  • Morey Norkin: Stage Fright

A perfectly spooky mystery set during a theater audition. I can’t imagine a more frightening setting. Christopher Soucy lets the tension build expertly and then delivers a terrific payoff. Every theater should have this one on their Halloween schedule!

  • Morey Norkin: The Wallabies of Venice

I don’t know much about European history and it probably doesn’t matter. Chris Plumridge has created perhaps the wackiest tea party since the Mad Hatter. Set in 18th century Venice but with a character who could very well have the nickname Wallaby Dundee, this play… oh what the heck. Just read it and laugh! It’s beyond description.

From the first Hamlet joke I was hooked! Although targeted for young performers and audiences, this play’s appeal easily spans generations. When you read it you will smile EE-I-EE-I-O!

  • Morey Norkin: Emergency Dream

To quote this play, “Holy mother of God!” A tense, frightening, and realistic look at the life of a 911 dispatcher. How does anyone possibly prepare to do this kind of work? Jonny Bolduc has created a truly gripping theater piece that belongs on stage.
