  • Morey Norkin: Mick and Ernie go to Therapy

What a great premise. I love how these two dense thieves really get into the couples therapy session! I’m not very familiar with British slang, and there’s a lot in this play. But I think from the context you can still tell it’s hilarious. A great opportunity for comic actors to really play off each other and for audiences to laugh themselves silly!

  • Morey Norkin: The Peculiar Puppets of Philip Platt

This is a moving story about loss, grief, and moving forward. And yet, as you might expect with puppets, there are some genuinely laugh out loud moments. Brenton Kniess shows us that help can come from the most unexpected places if only we’re open to it. To see just how well this beautiful play works with an audience, check out the YouTube video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9K5Yl8B9DIg

  • Morey Norkin: For The Masses

Alice Josephs does a terrific job of showing how the idealism of one generation can be supplanted by the extreme self interest of the next. Additionally, FOR THE MASSES speaks to the negative impact politics can have on art, a very timely topic. Well thought out, this play will give audiences a lot to talk about. Hope they get the chance!

  • Morey Norkin: LOBSTER BISQUE (A One Minute Play)

I know from sunburns, but the comic burn that Tom delivers to Marcie is priceless! Physical comedy and great wit all in a minute!

  • Morey Norkin: Happy (one-minute play)

Since it’s only a minute long, I’ll be brief. Wow!

  • Morey Norkin: The Bearer (A One-Minute Play)

Celebrity deaths, especially of those whose work or contributions are most well-known to us, can be quite shocking. There is a shared grief among many with no personal connection to each other or the deceased. DC Cathro perfectly captures these feelings in this impactful reminiscence between a father and son. Excellent!

  • Morey Norkin: Twice in a Lifetime

Magical, sweet, and so lovely! A beautiful relationship marked by the beauty of the cosmos! Since I likely won’t be around in 2061, I’m happy to learn this show will be produced before then! And for those lucky enough to be around then… what better way to celebrate!

  • Morey Norkin: Proof and Justice

Yes, Lily, there is a Santa Claus! Some 5-year-old is waiting to steal our hearts and steal the show in this adorable one-minute play! An absolute winner from Deb Cole!

  • Morey Norkin: High Ground

I’m not a biblical scholar, especially when it comes to the New Testament, but this modern retelling of Jesus resisting temptation in the wilderness can be enjoyed by all. None of us may be seeking divine status, but we can all learn gratitude for what we have. An ancient story told smartly with just the right blend of humor and sincerity. How can you resist producing this?
