  • The Gett: Or One Woman’s Creation Myth

I had the privilege of seeing this show in person and was absolutely blown away by Liba's writing style. I was particularly struck by the way narration is utilized to distinguish reality from thought, or blur that line when necessary. The scenes transition very smoothly between each other and despite some long monologues, not a word is wasted. By the end it was very hard not to cry. Absolutely loved this complex, intimate, and magical story!

Intriguing concept right from the start, with very funny one-liners balanced with its drama! I would love to see this piece performed live.

Very charming piece which balances its dark subject matter with comedic moments. Excellent chemistry between characters with clear motivations. Little hints are dropped throughout the entire piece about what happened last year, which builds nicely to Archer's last monologue. Really enjoyed this!

Intense and intriguing read. Every character is desperate and we're never sure who to root for at any given moment, which makes the piece exciting. Highly recommend!

A very creative basis for a play which does not disappoint as it unfolds. Simultaneously entertaining and heartbreaking story. Makes me wonder which six I would pick!

Very interesting characters whose relationship is so intimate and yet we never quite understand it, and they never really do either. I loved watching them talk around each other and never really listen, and how naturally the conflict arises from that. A simple basis for a character-driven play which was enticing to read.
