North Pole labor disputes make for a funny, biting little holiday comedy. A workplace drama made humorous with the use of jolly ol’ Saint Nick as narrator. A fun premise with impish characters and an unusual Christmas offering. Ho ho ho!
  • Trivial [a monologue]

The title may be misleading. This is a beautiful, touching monologue and a tearful farewell. Full of head and heart, mystery and history. A really lovely piece which incorporates environment, props, lighting... A one-woman show boiled down to a few pages. Exceptional.

Ah, the holidays. Time for a few dozen theatre troops to brush off the tree and presents. As someone who played “Bob Cratchit” for over a decade, I could relate to this play in the best and worst ways. A twisted take on community theatre Christmas pageants and the politics of backstage. Wicked funny!

There are a few emotional twists and turns in this trippy little sci-fi jaunt, doled out along the way with skill and flair. Just when you think you know what it’s about, another surprise slaps you in the face. Great fun!

This family drama packs so much into just ten pages, but ultimately a story of fatherhood. Great roles, great, natural dialogue. A visual, visceral confrontation between a father and his child. A powerful piece that (and I rarely say this) could easily be expanded. Great work.

Are we all slaves to technology? Burdick sets up a funny, creepy, and intellectual cat-and-mouse game that’s a fun read. We all know our phones are listening... but how far back does this surveillance go? A cool, techy drama that’s a really good time.

A heart wrenching tale of what could have been, one life lost literally, and another lost and wandering. Stuck in a limbo when her fiancé is killed, we see the anguish of not only losing your love, but finding that you don’t have a place in the world they left behind. Powerful.

Osmundsen gives us a sweet, sad cast of what could be misconstrued as misfits but are really just kids struggling with being kids, spectrum or not. He paints an empathetic picture that is joyful, triumphant, furious, and heartbreaking. An emotional journey I’m happy to have taken.

Hilarious, scandalous, rollicking fun! Like, WOW. Absolutely hysterical and full of verbal, physical, and visual humor. Like a classic farce with a REALLY modern twist. A fantastic read!

A sprawling drama spanning years and miles, but ultimately a story about the unbreakable bonds of a loving family ahead of their time. Williams has a way with smart characters, dialogue, and timely references.
