A fascinating take on some pretty heavy subjects... Monogomy, rape, sex shaming, gender roles. Written in verse, it makes for an unexpected read but well worth the time. Relationships are explored and end and begin and end again. Really well executed and wonderfully full of potential for a good director to sink their teeth into.

Creepy and disturbing in the best ways. Teenage years are impossible enough to navigate safely, so this short but unsettling tale of a curse unwittingly passed along hits on all cylinders. Well crafted and wonderfully theatrical.

Short, sweet, and definitely to the point. An honest exchange about sharing yourself in ways that can be considered taboo. The sincerity of the characters shines and the dialogue is wonderfully natural. What a fun ride!

A reminder to be good to yourself, now and the person you used to be. Deeply emotional with the wry wit and a hint of snark that Martin does so well. Do something nice for your present self... read this play.

Christopher weaves a story of small town strife, sex, loneliness, and longing for more. Sparse in dialogue but rich in story. Thumbs up.

A powerful and deeply emotional confrontation that plays out in unexpected ways. Brilliantly fraught and intense in the best possible sense. Leaves a lasting impression and impact. Incredible.

Some very profound truths come out in this short but powerful piece. Parenting is a seemingly endless series of trials and second guessing, and Mabey nails the uncertainty AND the confidence. Side note - I used to work at a toy store, and this kind of scenario was not uncommon. Really engaging.

A stunning work filled with simplicity and grace, and a deeply emotional piece both for the cast and audience. Don’t let the list of characters scare you off. Beautiful. Absolutely lovely.

Damn, so relatable. The pressures and frustrations of lockdown and the virus have everyone on edge but nobody knows how to show it, or what to do to relieve it. This short piece nails how so many of us, myself included, are feeling.

A short but incredibly powerful piece, and every word came from public sources, but Carnes weaves the lines into a tapestry of heartache and danger. Plays like these are so important and need to be read and seen.
