  • Kathy Rasmussen: A RAINY NIGHT IN HOLLYWOOD - one-act based on actual events in 1940's Hollywood.

This was a delightful one act to read. It highlights how we are all more alike than different, with nostalgic Hollywood references throughout. Well done!

  • Kathy Rasmussen: An Empty Room

The layering and perspectives in this piece are intriguing. I was immediately invested in discovering the characters and their relationships to each other. Ms. Wilcox made me feel like I was in the room with this special family, sharing their grief. This was so well written, I was disappointed it was over!

  • Kathy Rasmussen: SWEET DREAMS

I did not see the end coming! The "i" word certainly can cause quite a stir. This was a great play to read.

  • Kathy Rasmussen: My Piano Doesn't Like Me

What a delightfully funny play that hits a bit close to home for a novice pianist. My son, a piano teacher, challenged me to find plays about pianos. I am glad to have accepted because I found this relatable and fun one act. Larry Rinkel's use of personification adds depth and humor to the dialogue in an interesting way. I smiled from start to finish.

  • Kathy Rasmussen: Chopin's Piano

The description of the setting immediately landed me in Poland. The characters were developed effectively and humanly, even in the midst of the evil. This is a beautiful tribute to the history and appeal of music. It has inspired me to research Chopin.

  • Kathy Rasmussen: Chance Of A Lifetime

Chance of a Lifetime is a timely tale which gripped my attention from the first line. It really makes one wonder what lengths people will go to for a shot at power. I was left hoping for a sequel!

  • Kathy Rasmussen: Look Away

This is such an educational piece-I truly did not know anything about this order. I had chills while reading it. Morey has done an excellent job with this historic, yet timeless issue, and I am planning to research it more! In spite of the grave nature of this piece, what remains with me is the message of hope at the end.

  • Kathy Rasmussen: FISH & FOWL

With a shocking discovery, revelation, and conclusion, this script will make you laugh, cringe, and raise your eyebrows. This was a fun read. Actors will have a lot of laughs rehearsing and performing it!

  • Kathy Rasmussen: One Two One Three

My heart aches for these vulnerable characters. It is so very well written, that their pain is transposed onto the reader. The story of a life in vivid color.
