A moving play that explores the challenges and triumphs of being a sister, daughter, friend, and individual. The specificity of the world enhances the themes of trauma and hope. It's a kitchen-sink drama in a contemporary, exciting voice. I cannot wait to see this play produced!

Highly recommend this moving play about two sisters reunited for a funeral in the wake of Hurricane Sandy in Brooklyn, a wonderfully specific rendering of characters, female relationships, what is lost and what can be saved as they fight all the forces of a past that would keep them separated into their personal traumas. The play has great moments of humor and comedy and light in the midst of darkness. Humanity and hope shines through!

This is a smart play about family secretes between sisters. I was proud to include it in the MadLab Developmental Reading Series at IRT Theater with my company NYMadness. I hope it goes on to great things in the future! It's a vibrant play that does kitchen sink realism with a modern voice.
