John Minigan has managed to add complexity to an already sensitive subject. The emotional current of the play is tangible, which will keep any parent thinking about this play once the curtain goes down.

An outstanding use of theater to explore both sides of a no-win dilemma. The audience is treated with respect and is assumed to be fully capable of understanding both sides. This will affect audiences in the best possible way -- prompt them to examine the "truths" that have developed in the aftermath of Sandy Hook.. and what, if anything, they want to do about it.

The voices of teachers are so essential in the fight for safer schools (which should include safety for teachers!), & John Minigan writes from experience. It's so valuable for theatre to reflect these personal-political moments of rifts in relationships caught up in systemic struggles. & we can always use more plays about the labour issues at the heart of just about every other social issue. Highly recommend the performance & inteview on Gather by the Ghostlight.

This was a read that gave goosebumps. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. What a great juxtaposition between two points on the school security debate!

I loved reading this play. It felt real and natural, and it brings awareness of what schools go through today. The characters have depth and history between each other and I loved it!

This piece spoke to me from a personal point of view. I think the conversation these two characters had about school shooting drills spoke volumes. What I appreciate the most is the dynamic between the teachers belief vs the assistant principal's. It felt really realistic from what I have seen in the aftermath of a school shooting.

Absolutely loved the voice of these women! It felt natural, and I can see a clear respect for these characters coming from the playwright. Relevant and so engaging to read.
