  • Morey Norkin: The Deal - 10 Minute Play

All seems sweet like a nice cold glass of lemonade, but Ryan Kaminski adds enough twists and turns to ensure that the devil is truly in the details. Masterfully written, it’s not surprising THE DEAL has an impressive production history. Here’s hoping for more!

  • Paul Donnelly: The Deal - 10 Minute Play

What a chilling hoot. As Arthur's intentions and attentions darken, Vivian at first seems overmatched. But she proves resourceful and resilient in most unexpected ways. The twists and turns that get us to the final reversal are compelling and full of surprises. The suspense and tension of this piece are riveting.

  • Stephanie Hunt: The Deal - 10 Minute Play

“The Deal” has so many twists and turns, it’s amazing that so much happens in only 10 pages. Kaminski lures us in with Southern charm before masterfully pulling the rug out from under us. What a ride!

  • Cindi Sansone-Braff: The Deal - 10 Minute Play

“The Deal” has some of the most riveting dialogue that you will ever encounter. A great two-person, one-act play with lots of suspense throughout that continues right up to the surprise ending. The play has a third character, who is dead, but his being hovers like a ghost over the entire play. Bravo!

  • Debra A. Cole: The Deal - 10 Minute Play

"You can see it in my eyes now, can’t you?" This is a wonderfully colorful piece that will delight audiences. Southern sweetness and Southern darkness - I would love to see it staged.

  • Maximillian Gill: The Deal - 10 Minute Play

I love it when a play goes to completely unexpected but totally believable places. Kaminski handles the ratcheting of tension expertly, letting us settle into a comfortable scene before throwing in curves that force us to rethink everything we're watching. Great twists and an atmospheric setting. Very enjoyable.

  • Jonathan Cook: The Deal - 10 Minute Play

I produced an audio play version of this script on the radio theater podcast Gather by the Ghost Light. Could your soul be so tarnished that even the devil himself turns you away? Kaminski tells a richly detailed story with the perfect Louisiana backdrop. As sinister deals go, it's been done often in storytelling, but he keeps things fresh with a bit of a twist. Very well written script and Kaminski displays excellent skill in shifting power from one character to the next. Outstanding!

  • Andrew Martineau: The Deal - 10 Minute Play

I had the pleasure to hear a podcast of this play that was very well acted and produced. The writing is first rate, and I was thoroughly intrigued to learn of the deal and eagerly wondered how the widow would react to her late husband’s bargain. I did not see the ending coming at all. The scenario is creepy and intriguing, and it is perfectly suited to the ten minute structure. I also enjoyed the New Orleans setting, which lends itself well to the horror genre. Excellent work!

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Deal - 10 Minute Play

What starts as a sweet, tender meeting of two people and recollection of a shared memory takes a sudden and unexpected twist, to this reader anyway. I loved the interaction between the two characters and the way the tables were turned is inspirational. Great!
