Cassidy Byron (any pronouns) is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, Ring of Keys, and the International Thespian Society. He is a recent graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dramatic Writing and minors in Producing and American Sign Language. As a playwright, Cassidy writes primarily dramas and dark comedies, focusing on themes of queerness, mental health, and dysfunctional relationships, and strives to create representation for those who rarely see people like themselves on the stage. Her work has appeared upon numerous stages across the United States, most notably with the off-off-Broadway production of Oui (yes, we) in February 2020.

Cassidy has been writing for the stage for eight years, and performing on it for over a decade. Prior to moving to New York, they were a regular performer at Grandview-Carriage Place Productions in Grandview Heights, OH, some of their favorite roles including Peter Pan (Peter Pan), Charlie Dickens (A Steampunk Christmas Carol), and White Rabbit (Alice in Wonderland). Backstage, xe has worked in stage management, assistant directing, fly operation, and stagehanding, as well as producing and directing the occasional short film.
