  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: THE LOVE ASTRONAUT

The Love Astronaut is a visceral play that uses so many senses to pull us in and keep us there. I love the peach and the pie and the humor. The characters are fabulous! And the way it all comes together while the breaking of the fourth wall (and others) is so enjoyable! Will be incredible to see staged.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: The Impossibility of Now

I love this play. It is so marvelously inventive and wonderful and theatrical and all my questions are answered in the strangest ways. I highly recommend this strange and delightful work.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Beheading Columbus

Beheading Columbus is a very funny and poignant look at our access to our own DNA. How much information is too much information and what does it mean to find out all these scientific things about ourselves in the world today. I highly recommend this play for Burbano's ability to write fantastically entertaining characters in theatrical moments while always keeping it real. Brava!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: The Right Front Door - a monologue

Wonderfully funny! I enjoyed this so much! Miller has a great ear and a great facility with comedy. Marjorie is a hoot! And her love life is hilarious! This would be a super monologue for an actor to work on and it would be great in performance. My favorite part is that he doesn't let go of the door - the idea of leaving and loss and holding on to our own detriment - a super metaphor!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Scratching the Surface

Simpson has written quite a thriller that would be terrifying, edge-of-your-seat exciting to watch! The characters are filled with desires for normalcy that seem almost possible, and yet they aren't equipped to be what/who they want to be. It is strange and fascinating and will surely provoke a lot of talk afterwards.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: The Last Stalker (Ten Minute)

What a beautiful play written with enormous restraint and love. AIDS really did change everything in so many ways and such a window into the difficult decisions that are made and what we do for love. So well done. Would be a wonderful piece for actors to work on.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION: a Very Short Play About Children and Guns

Written in 2019, this is horrifying, but YES! As artists we are here to respond to the world we are living in, and this is quite a moving response that I enjoyed tremendously. I hope it will get done! With a program full of locations!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Right Field of Dreams

Such a sweet and wonderfully written play for a younger actor to play! And I love the ghost. And I love the coach and the twist about who the coach really is. And the monologue is wonderful too. All the feels in this beautiful piece!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: TAMBO & BONES

A marvellous and theatrical (and meta-theatrical) dissection of race and class in the US with humor, joy, immense energy, performances to fill us up with all the rage and insanity of the past 400 years and then push us into the future. A great and amazing transformative play.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Dirty Laundry

A deeply personal and beautifully moving play with a chorus! And I love a chorus and how they function in this play! I also love how difficult it is for the characters to communicate, how complex the grief is and the shifts in all the relationships as they navigate their losses. Wonderful work!
