  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: The Closet Door

The thrill of coming out excites me every time! This is so much fun and so relatable. It may seem like it's easy to do, but it isn't. Heyman has created specific characters who are each trying to advance their own objectives with their own quirks - love Jessica's neurodiversity! Her ability to say what she thinks and sees without filter is great!

Shakespeare creeps me out - ever read his Rape of Lucrece? But this is FABULOUS! Wow - what a great idea and a beautiful script! Let it be produced often and everywhere!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Tuesday (a play for three clowns)

Beautiful, theatrical, whimsical, funny, whistful and heartfelt - I was moved. I love clowns. I love the idea of lost performers, lost dreams, lost energies and lost tickets and the promise and potential of being found. Great work!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: St. Agnes Goes to Hell: a monologue

A gorgeous monologue, so simple yet so theatrical too. How my heart beats for her.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: blu

Tremendous work. Would be stunning onstage. LOVE is not a strong enough response. This is a play to worship. Theatrical, linguistically lush, personal and political from the heart and the palpable soul. Why David Hare has to qualify this as women's writing when it is the most human writing I have ever read, poor David and his small ideas.

Brilliant performance manifesto so exquisitely written, so relatable and moving, for any revolutionary! I am inspired forever again and again reading this. Wow! This is what paper is for.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Intrusive Thoughts and Me

Very funny 1MP about people waiting for the train. I love that Smith externalizes the thoughts.

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: The Sadness of Johnny Depp

Caridad Svich is always trying to get us to dream, to imagine, to hope, and this play, The Sadness of Johnny Depp does that in several ways. I love the voices in this play, the rhythms, the tango of the lovers - will they connect or will they break apart? Read it!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: More of You

A gentle play about gender dysphoria, I love that the characters are trying so hard not to upset each other and yet trying to be authentic with the people we love is so upsetting and difficult sometimes. Lamedman explores rich material with such an open heart! Love this!

  • Emma Goldman-Sherman: Good Mourning

Good Mourning is a hoot and a half! A wonderful comedy about grief is hard to come by, and this one has a slew of quirky characters that would make any ensemble very happy! Having lost my own mother when she was only 44, I'm always looking for ways to understand the grieving process, and this comedy provides truths that illuminate how individual grief can be. Well done!
