Lester stands for nearly everything many of us are revolted by. And yet, over the course of this play Andrew Gall takes this seemingly irredeemable man on a path to self-awareness that never feels forced or contrived. We gradually see glimpses of humanity under Lester's self-centered and angry facade. The language has a gorgeous rhythm that flows in tandem with Lester's range of emotions. The weaving in of Thoreau's text is well-crafted and leads us through this compelling, darkly funny and moving play.

This gorgeous play tells an important story about our country's horrific trend of police brutality against young Black men. Craig-Galvan manages to do this with brush strokes of humor that root us in both of Sabrina's realities. Imaginative. Powerful. Real.

I promise you will be on the edge of your seat while you read this play. The suspense is taut and the storytelling is powerful. I highly recommend!

This play masterfully shows us the brutal realities that our LGBTQ brothers and sisters endure in parts of the world many of us do not pay attention to. Michael Proft shows this to us in David, who embraces life but is coping with immense guilt over leaving his home country. David is a likable, enigmatic character and his relationship with Matthew unfolds beautifully and in a very real way. Do not assume because of its subject matter that it is without humor. The characters all display laugh out loud wit throughout and makes you ache for them all the more.

This stunning play achieves something special in that it flows over you with an almost poetic quality, while still building a sturdy arc that broke my heart multiple times. Thank you, Kristin Idaszak, for creating three amazing roles for women and what I believe would be a designer's dream.

When I finished reading this play, I had to just sit there for a few minutes and revel in its beautiful storytelling. This unvarnished look at love and loss is told in a nonlinear structure that makes it that much more powerful. I hope I can see this piece on stage someday.

The greatest strength of this touching play is its strange and fascinating characters. It's a lovely play that gently asks bigger questions about living with the choices we make.

Villains rarely see themselves as villains. This compelling play draws us into the friendship/power struggle between two individuals so driven by ambition they are able to justify terrible choices. Excellent dialogue and tension--a great read.

This play's impact cuts deep and powerfully. It shows us how the trauma inflicted on abuse victims can manifest itself in ways that we don't often get to see in stories that deal with this topic. Barbara is imperfect, brave and terrified and a compelling heroine.
