  • Shaun Leisher: mind your bee hive

This play really took a turn I didn't expect. I dug the world building here and relationships created here so much.

  • Shaun Leisher: Three Anne Franks

I am over the moon in love with this play. Proof of how brilliant and vital great satire is. So many conversations to be had from what is being presented here in such a deep and hilarious way.

  • Shaun Leisher: For Charlie (Even if You Wouldn't Have Taken it)

A smart and moving two hander with two women trying their best to honor their abusive ex. When I wants to forget the manipulative man while the other longs to remember a mostly fictitious person. In such a short time they are able to realize so much about their relationship with Charlie but more importantly with each other. A short play that will create much needed conversation.

  • Shaun Leisher: Don't Walk Home in That Shit, Girl!

Such a fun and goofy yet disturbing short play that effectively blends absurdity with the truths that women face when it comes to roles in theatre and horror.

  • Shaun Leisher: Of the woman came the beginning of sin, and through her we all die.

There is so much packed into this play. It will leave audiences pondering above all else I feel what it means to have created community. Is it for creation or destruction? Is it to belong or exclude? The women in this play are so complex and more interesting than most plays I have read or seen about female friendships. This is a ritualistic experience much more than a theatrical one. An experience that will leave audiences speechless.

  • Shaun Leisher: Dear

This is a play that truly knocks the wind out of you. A college dorm bathroom is the only fitting location for a play that is about such intimate moments. Intimate moments that are filled with fear, rage and love. Houghton has given the theatre a true gift with a play that deals with partner abuse in such a raw and unflinching way with 4 incredibly written female characters. I hope to see this play produced all over but especially in college campuses across the nation.

A short play that poses that imagines what it was like inside a trial conducted for male birth control. The main premise is fascinating and oftentimes hysterical but it's how this play shows audiences what women have to deal with from men in social situations that really stick with you.

  • Shaun Leisher: GIANT SLALOM

Stakes couldn't be higher in this play about 3 teenage girls who just happen to be competitive skiers. This play is awesome at keeping the intensity up in the clubhouse and also on the slopes. The scenes of actual skiing is written in such an inter.esting way and I can't wait to see how a director interprets them in a full production.

The use of subtext and the information is revealed in this play proves how much of a playwright to watch Jess Honovich is. She writes her character with so much care and respect. A play that should be a part of the school theatre canon.
