  • Shaun Leisher: REBELS TIL DEATH

A beautiful exploration of trauma and memory. Femia writes place really well and this play is great at making Brooklyn and Coney Island its own character in the play.

  • Shaun Leisher: meet you at the Galaxy Diner.

I'm so excite to follow the development of this play. This playwright is awesome at writing sad people that find each other and are connected by their sadness. Don't get me wrong though. This play is not a downer and there's lots of hope to be found by the end. Another gem for Gina Femia!!!

  • Shaun Leisher: No One Is Forgotten

Really hope to see this play produced everywhere. Its a hilarious and gut wrenching look at how we deal with trauma by sometimes pretending it doesn't exist.

  • Shaun Leisher: Burst

This play is a unique look at women in power and what happens when just having a dream to do good is no longer enough. Bublitz has crafted 3 complex characters with sharp dialogue that actors will have a blast with. It's a tight one scene play that takes audiences on a journey full of twists and turns that will leave them in a place of uncertainty about these women and their own beliefs.

  • Shaun Leisher: POP POP WAS A WAR HERO

A really good 10 minute play!!! The death of a parent certainly isn's a new subject in the theatre but with this snippet of time with a mother and daughter, Femia proves there are angles that can be looked at through fresh perspectives.

  • Shaun Leisher: Chill

This is such a beautifully crafted play!!! The way Burgess looks at the passage of time between people is so smart. Between the acts things change but so much stays the same and the way that's brilliantly reflected in the structure of the acts particularly related to the combination of character moments. This should be in the canon for university theatre.

  • Shaun Leisher: CRH (or, the placenta play)

This is such an interesting play about looking back on one's dreams and realizing the present doesn't match up. Adulting locks us into a life we didn't choose and sometimes friends fall away. Gipson has created some very compelling characters and has allowed us access into their lives. A slice of life dark comedy that will cause reflection in all of us.

  • Shaun Leisher: Made of Glass

Im usually not a fan of naturalistic living room plays unless they are done really well and highlight a unique aspect of humanity. This one does that!!!

  • Shaun Leisher: Last Night in Inwood

Such a fresh take on the "apocalyptic times" narrative!! Appreciate the decision not to mention any specific leader or administration to ensure the play speaks to us for generations to come. Identity politics will matter even at the end times so I'm glad we have such a well written play that tackles this head on.

  • Shaun Leisher: The Great Divide

Part historical period piece. Part examination of the American Dream. Part ghost story. This play looks at how we remember people in history and historic events and how we ourselves want to be remembered.
