  • Shaun Leisher: In Search of The Mothman

A great two-hander. Loved getting to spend time with these two sisters. Loved all the humor mixed in with the serious subject matter. An exploration of what it means to deal with grief in different ways while also planning for your future. These characters are very well-written and their dialogue feels very natural.

  • Shaun Leisher: UNTITLED (blood, marble)

An excellent play with so many "how will they do that" moments. So much potential for stage magic. Can't wait to see what a team of artists do with this play. I loved how raw Tally gets with the marble. The writing here is so good. McMorran finds ways to discuss important issues like disordered eating in such an experimental way. This feels like it teeters between theatre and performance art. I can't wait to see an actress take on this role.

  • Shaun Leisher: Address the Body!

A wonderful play about academia's role in systemic racism. Loved the magical elements of this play. I really felt the frustration behind academic institutions' refusal to fully account for their role in the violence against the Black communities of the past and present. Really want to see this play produced. A fresh take on a critical issue.

  • Shaun Leisher: Sonnets from a Sin-Eater

A really great solo piece that plays with form and style. I'd love to see this produced one day. Lots of opportunity for creative stage craft.

  • Shaun Leisher: Another Minute

I really enjoyed this short play. Richards really captures how awkward first dates can be. These characters go on quite a journey is so few pages.

  • Shaun Leisher: fire ants (co written with Lily Houghton)

A brilliant short play to help us remember the writer's strike. This play went to some really fun and absurd places. Loved these characters.

  • Shaun Leisher: Whisper Music - Ten Minute Play

A fun short play that starts out nice and sweet and goes to some very dark places. I really enjoyed the dialogue in this play. These characters feel really lived-in.

  • Shaun Leisher: powpowpowpowpowpowpowpowBANG

This play is an absolute mindfuck. I really had a good time reading it and would love to see an adventurous team of artists produce this.

  • Shaun Leisher: Every Little Nookie

I really enjoyed getting to spend time with this chosen family. These characters are so well-written and complex. Nothing about their situations are easy to understand. I loved the split and meshed scenes. Really makes you lean in and pay attention to the journeys these characters go on. I really found myself rooting for Margaret and the changes she goes through.

  • Shaun Leisher: revelations from the first and last ever rehearsal of THEY SAY I DID SOMETHING BAD: an unauthorized taylor swift parody musical about the life of the unabomber ted kaczynski presented by the bridgebrook college drama club

This play was absolutely brilliant. Part absurdist comedy, part treatise on sexual violence, part takedown of Taylor Swift and part exploration of the power art has to deal with trauma. I have my self laughing and being deeply moved at the same time. The ending is something I'll be thinking about for a long time. Great roles for LGBTQ actors.
