This dark commentary on the ‘War on Christmas’ just keeps escalating in the best way. Here, we have three teachers getting ready to put on an exorbitant Christmas pageant at their middle school when they are interrupted by their principal telling them that they can’t include any religious content. To say that goes over badly is an understatement. This would be a ton of fun for actors and audiences alike!

What a sweet holiday reminder! And a great opportunity for actors to do some super fun physical work to boot.

This is a great piece of lighthearted metatheatre to break up your holiday short play festival. Weaver makes solid points about the Elf on the Shelf craze and gives these protesters some delightful things to say all without taking himself or the piece too seriously. This is a chance to have some fun — enjoy it!

The first holiday without a loved one is tough, even — maybe especially — if your relationship with that loved one was complicated. This brave play tackles an example of those complicated relationships head-on and finds hope in creating new traditions and working through the old ones.

This upbeat holiday interaction takes a surrealist turn halfway through to show the audience what’s going on inside the characters’ minds. It’s a sweet, heartfelt moment between two friends who could be more. Lovely.

If you’re nervous about bringing a partner home for the holidays, find some relief in this play. Alyssa is nervous about meeting her girlfriend Taylor’s parents for the first time over the holidays, but the events of this play relieve her nerves and make her optimistic about this meeting with her potential future in-laws. This adorable script is easy to put on stage, and it’s sure to make you smile.

Seriously, though, this piece is a lovely reminder of "the reason for the season." It would be easy to produce in a number of flexible ways, and it just warms the heart.
