  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: CUBIST RODEO CLOWNING

I really enjoyed this play's dialogue - it all comes together very magically, like the words are holding hands, spinning around, and performing a little jig. Of course, for all the fun that can be extrapolated here, there's also an introspective sadness imbued within about desire - a fun and fascinating read!

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: The Ergonomic Perfection of the Rotary Phone

Through raw and authentic dialogue, Brian James Polak explores the complexities of dealing with mental illness and the strain it can place on family dynamics. Cary and Bree engage with each other in such a tender but also painful way - reflecting their individual fears and desires about the situation.

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: Aphrodite- An Intimate Evening with the Goddess of Love

One part divine mythos and one part contemporary candor, Weaver delivers a humor-filled, highly engaging, one-woman show that boldly and uniquely folds you in on its themes of love and identity, making you a part of the goddess’s intimate musings. This would crush in front of an audience!

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: Doug Digs In

Martin has given us quite a compelling look into the lives of two partners who are wrestling with vastly different needs. On one hand, Doug's choice to dig a hole and withdraw from the above-world reflects how people will often create unhealthy/extreme barriers to protect themselves. On the other hand, this creates a challenge for Lynn who doesn't want to enable his boyfriends detachment from the world, and instead, wants them to confront the difficulties of life together. Really great stuff.

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: 18,936 Steps (A Monologue)

Anxiety is a powerful beast, Feeny-Williams authentically relays the feeling to us through Amelia's experience in "18,936 Steps". An amazingly-paced portrayal of love, worry, and the helplessness of waiting.

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: Bite Me

Lohne delivers some very clever marine life musings about maturing and the, maybe, less often discussed anxieties associated around our growth (and the responsibilities we accumulate along the way). A fun play with some good opportunities for a production team to flex their creativity!

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: Quentin Tarantino's PG-13 Crime Movie

A fast-paced comedy teeming with word play and pop culture references that will assuredly tickle any film lover in the audience (and anyone who’s not a fan of Disney and their IP-purchasing onslaught). Bravo to Busser for this show!

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: CURBED

I really love the way Carnes is able to skillfully escalate tension the perfect amount with each and every line. CURBED is an intense dissection of two perspectives that would be fascinating to see on stage!

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: Pit

Prillaman has masterfully captured a dynamic between Hat and Glasses that swings between endearing vulnerability and subtle manipulation. It’s such a fascinating relationship that I could be a fly on the wall watching these two forever. Following our cursory glance at their isolated lives, we then get the introduction of Third Wheel, an outsider, which INTENSELY shakes up the pit and reframes everything we'd seen before. Absolutely wild in the ways this play utilizes characterization, I LOVE IT!

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: Adventurers Anonymous

Kantor does such a phenomenal job capturing unique and authentic character voices. Add on to that the wonderful utilization of the world's greatest TTRPG as a framework for exploring personal histories, the ripple effect those might have, and how positive group experiences can help us better understand our own struggles, and I'm a very happy audience member (for full disclosure, I actually watched the online EastLine Theatre production - which was great)!
