  • Audrey Webb: MEMOIRS OF A FORGOTTEN MAN

There is so much to admire in this piece. I particularly enjoyed the seamless motion between past and present, memory and deception. With masterful structure and theatricality, Memoirs opens up conversations about power and control, and the danger of self-deception. Very relevant to today's political climate and a wonderfully suspenseful play. Intricate, well-paced, and exquisite!

  • Audrey Webb: Lyon's Den

It's been a few years since I saw this show produced on zero budget at a university -- and the production sticks with me still. I remember being in awe that the slam poetry in it was written by someone I knew -- because it's nothing short of inspired genius! Given how powerful this production was on a shoestring, I can only imagine how it would transform with some more resources behind it. It's an emotionally deep and rich play, and is completely worth losing yourself in, so get to reading!

  • Audrey Webb: That Midnight Rodeo

This play's brilliance is in the way Price parcels out the details. It is reminiscent of Hemingway's "Hills Like White Elephants" in the way it leaves so much unspoken while leaving you in no doubt about the details. The characters are in true crisis, and in ten minutes, they tear you apart in an unforgettable way. I am frankly stunned that I am the first to recommend this play. Stop what you're doing and read it now.

  • Audrey Webb: LEAVING PARADISE VALLEY

In this remarkably powerful short play, Wyndham shows his great eye for detail, for shining a light on the seemingly most innocuous images and opening the floodgate of emotions behind them. This play tells stories from multiple perspectives and quietly, gently tells of the heartbreak of being uprooted against one's will, of having to pick up fragments of a life and transport them elsewhere, leaving those left behind torn to pieces as well. Easy to produce, and will have a long-lasting impact on audiences.

  • Audrey Webb: The Colony

Powerful imagery, powerful message. It's horrifying to contemplate that the events that sparked this play actually happened -- and continue to play out as politics determine the rights of others to access to and decisions on the fate on the female body. Stevensen masterfully takes the audience on a journey that spans decades. The gut-punch of the play's final moments should spark not only conversation, but also -- hopefully -- action.

  • Audrey Webb: The Fugitive

I heard this play read at Theatre Southwest in November 2017. The audience LOVED it! It was the overwhelming audience favorite and took top honors in the audience vote by a landslide. Non-stop laughter with a poignant message. This play would be perfect for an older audience that wants a touch of nostalgia with a huge helping of guffaws.
