  • Rene Zabel: Ghost Hunting Live And Direct

We had the distinct pleasure of reading this funny piece today. I was in charge of the stage directions and kept laughing. Max is written so well, her self obsession is perfect. The twist at the end was a lovely surprise!! Great work!

  • Rene Zabel: This is Fine; Or, How Chekhov's Baby Saved the Party

We had the privilege of reading This is Fine, in our reading group. Oty has a way with bringing normal, every day situations and friendships, to the stage in real and exciting ways. The story is poignant and relative to today's marriage, pregnancy and relationships.

  • Rene Zabel: Even when the storm comes

We have the privilege of reading this marvelous script today. This poinant work will bring laughs, love, and many tears. The grief process has never been depicted with such skill, empathy, and love. Ryan had the entire cast in tears. This script is a must read and really needs a production ASAP!

  • Rene Zabel: DREAM HOUSE

Oh my! This is one play that gets your blood boiling and your anxiety all over the place. Don't read this if you are renting out your home, that's for sure; it'll give you nightmares...in a good way. Debra leads you gently into the lives of David and Cloe, then smacks you up side the head with Rob...ROB...I have never despised a character more than Rob. Debra has written the ultimate hateful person. I don't feel sorry for Rob at all, even at the end. I am not one that believes a character deserves some redeamable value.

  • Rene Zabel: Apocrypha

We had the pleasure of reading Apocrypha today! Vidalia has a unique way of leaving the audience wanting more without giving anything away. Which is not a bad thing. Life without mystery is just a tad bit inane. Vidalia writes with a real emphasis on human connections, that is honest and truly believable. You feel yourself in her character, they are flawed, honest, and real. Great job!

  • Rene Zabel: Stuck in Street View

We got the privilege of reading this today. I kept trying to figure out where we were going and I loved that I couldn't figure it out until Lou allows us to do so. Wonderful writing! These are my favorite types of thrillers.

  • Rene Zabel: REFLECTIONS OF THE SOUL - one-act that explores a man's feeling in the bathroom mirror.

Wow! What a wonderful honest look into a personal journey of forgiveness, friendship and love. I was touched by Erb's introspective view that we should all take when we hear those regrets talking back to us in our own mirrors.

  • Rene Zabel: Open This When I'm Gone

Brent had me in tears! Such a brilliant way in which to tell this tough subject. The dialogue is so very real... not one word is unnecessary. Brava!

  • Rene Zabel: FIRST LIGHT

Such a lovely poignant piece. It is so hard going back to where you grew up. Sometimes you never do. Michele does an excellent job of hitting all the feel marks with this all too real dialogue. Loved it!

  • Rene Zabel: coming out

OMG! I did NOT expect that! Nice job! The dialogue is so real, then the twist just slaps you in the face. Secretly, though...
