  • Rene Zabel: Song and Dance Man

Oh Deb! You got me teary eyed!! What a wonder poignant piece between a mother and son! I could see myself with own son. So real!

  • Rene Zabel: Two Sleeping Babes

This had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Very tense and drama filled from the beginning. I felt so bad for the mother. This is a testament to how women are still treated today, maybe not as openly, but it's still there. I want to know more! Please give us more!

  • Rene Zabel: Belial

Excellent! The way in which the playwright teeters on the edge of Shoval's sanity and how it is used against her is brilliant.

  • Rene Zabel: The Drought

This one got me! I let my imagination run wild - where the hours and hours were gone, the unimaginable longing for passion. You got me!!! Well done!

  • Rene Zabel: A GUST OF WIND (a two minute monologue)

I had the pleasure of hearing this piece and it really speaks to how life ebbs and flows. If part of our life has ended, do we still move on. Do we park ourselves in the rut of what's left or do we forge our own pathways?

  • Rene Zabel: Marvin and the Muses

I had the privilege of reading this today, and it had me in stitches. A playwrights muse can and will be whomever is handy. They don't have to be a Greek or Irish muse. Brilliant!

  • Rene Zabel: JONNA/JACK (award-winning one-act play)

I had the pleasure of watching a reading of Jonna/Jack in the Celtic Calling play reading contest. Breaking up is hard but in this one act, Arianna takes it to the next level. It makes one hope that the after life plays out in this way. There is nothing to fear just a book of everything we do with each lifetime. Can those we love travel through lives with us? Makes one pause.

  • Rene Zabel: HOUSE FOR SALE - OUTER HEBRIDES: ONE MINUTE MONOLOGUE

When something lands in your lap that seems too good to be true…it probably is. Vivian does an excellent job of allowing the feeling of anticipation for a property left to the unexpected new owner and how the excitement is extinguished by reality.

  • Rene Zabel: The Ladies of The Colourful Society

I absolutely loved reading for this play. The use of color as adjectives and adverbs for every day things was brilliant. I think this is one of my favorite RFW plays!! I had to try not to laugh out loud when trying to read this and stay in character.

  • Rene Zabel: Tickle That Dragon

As a Potter fan and the mother of a Gen Z Potter fan, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this play. Rex really captured the essence of true Potter fans and their purest nature.
