A beautiful testament to love and relationships. The intensity of an adult life can be overwhelming for so many and the strains of just maunvering through the hurdles is hard enough, but when anyone faces the darkness in their own mind it can be downright exhausting, You'll be rooting for Melinda and Oscar as you finish this play.

Sometimes we have these visions of our parents that the stopped being human when they had children and yet, most people have those desires at 40 or 60 as they did at 20. They were given more freedom to act upon them. Photo Finish gives you an exhilarating peak into one mother who surprise her daughters, but also give them a bond that will grow stronger over time when they both start to feel the strain of the veneer we paint ourselves with to just get by in this world.

Ah death, that great big mystery that awaits us all. So many times i'll read about people just dying in their sleep and I think, wow, that's the best way to go, and I suppose it is for a lot of us, no time to over think or worry about it.

I love the lines about where in the house good news is delivered vs. the bad. Confess will take you back to your own childhood or parenthood to when the power dynamic between child and parent can shift seemingly on a dime, but in the end, there is never any argument when it comes to the all seeing eye that is without a doubt instilled to all mothers just after giving birth.

Our desire for human connection is such a strong force that pulls us into so many ways across the globe. The more we get to know Izax, the more you realize that the drive for that even for a gay kid in the middle red state of Arkansas pushes through all of the christian upbringing and a hetero-social world he finds himself trapped in to no fault of his own, that desire for connection pushes him to seek other gay men all wanting that human connection. A powerful and oh so real monologue. I won't forget Izax anytime soon.

There is nothing more terrifying than the darkness and sometimes we have what we think are safe places to hide in to protect ourselves from bullies around us. Jacquelyn play will have you racing that very place to hide and to think about what is out there in the darkness and can we ever feel safe in anything but the light ever again!

This was the featured play of the day for me and what I love about it is that we all know that Judas was the one who doubted and turn Jesus over to the Romans, but Olsen's Judas becomes this real human whose doubts take on a more about the fact that his Jesus seems more like than a monster than a god and from that perspective the doubt seems vindicated.

This play is so funny and of course very dark and with the violence roaring all around us with wars happening somewhere in this world every day, it makes you sit back and think that those who start the wars are never usually the one who lose from it or suffer from it as do the common people and the of course the kids of the common people. Bravo!

Parenting is one hard thing in life and a good parenting is even harder for a lot of people and the surprise of this monologue (perfect for this season) and yet, perfect for any season, but the surprise and movement of how this father gives his speech will surprise you and shock you with bittersweet regret of what might have been.

I've been reading a lot of gay histories lately where women and men would be with a partner for years and years and at some point the sex grows boring or dull and they mostly decided to just sleep around with another one and why did it matter, they weren't bound by marriage or law and love. The idea an open relationship is something a lot of gay and lesbian couples have tried over the years and sometimes it definitely helps make the bond all the more tighter.
