  • Lee R. Lawing: Bangs and Whimpers

This play is so funny and of course very dark and with the violence roaring all around us with wars happening somewhere in this world every day, it makes you sit back and think that those who start the wars are never usually the one who lose from it or suffer from it as do the common people and the of course the kids of the common people. Bravo!

  • Lee R. Lawing: Father of the Dead

Parenting is one hard thing in life and a good parenting is even harder for a lot of people and the surprise of this monologue (perfect for this season) and yet, perfect for any season, but the surprise and movement of how this father gives his speech will surprise you and shock you with bittersweet regret of what might have been.

  • Lee R. Lawing: Kangaroo (Ten Minute)

I've been reading a lot of gay histories lately where women and men would be with a partner for years and years and at some point the sex grows boring or dull and they mostly decided to just sleep around with another one and why did it matter, they weren't bound by marriage or law and love. The idea an open relationship is something a lot of gay and lesbian couples have tried over the years and sometimes it definitely helps make the bond all the more tighter.

  • Lee R. Lawing: At Twilight In Watsonville - A Monologue

There is such peace with this monologue about the approaching night on one such California town and just like Milich says, this play has a universal experience and you will immediately be taken back to your child hood town or your current one.

  • Lee R. Lawing: The Waters of Her Noblest Rivers

A powerful and oh so memorably play. It's so easy for us all to have those moments where we feel we should be doing more to make change or to help others push for change, but what I love about this play is that the realization, although calm in delivery, cuts as deep and painful as a knife wound would to the gut.

  • Lee R. Lawing: The Wallabies of Venice

Wacky fun is right. Love the snappy dialogue and the energy around this play but what I love best is the spirit to which these so-called leaders rise up to rid their city of the dreaded wallabies which are driving away the tourist. The elephant may not be in the room, but you can rest assured these men will be able to have you forgetting anything but the fun that is had for reader and viewer alike.

  • Lee R. Lawing: JOCELYN: A CHRISTMAS MONOLOGUE

What a monologue. There are moments in your life when you want to rush out and help anyone and everyone that you can because you have hit upon that fact of life that there is a huge, huge gap between those who have the basic needs and those who do not and Jocelyn's talk with her little girl and also to her unborn child, you realize that sometimes those basic needs that we at some point take for granted or the the needs that we should always be the most thankful for each night.

  • Lee R. Lawing: Life's Not Fair

One should always try their best to be nice to anyone who is helping them or waiting on them because karma will come back in some way or another and Sengupta serves up Karma with a capital K.

  • Lee R. Lawing: Throwing Rocks (Short Play)

Relationships are so hard to begin with and when those relationships that seem to end be it by mutual agreement or those that don't, the end and parting and coming to terms with that end is so hard and even we pull out the game face that everyone expects to put on, the pain and fear and sadness sometimes becomes too hard for us to bare. This play has an urgency to it and also a haunting one that will break your heart when you finish!

  • Lee R. Lawing: HONORARY CITIZEN OF UGANDA: A MONOLOGUE

Anger doesn’t even begin to describe what you’ll be feeling when you read Asher’s powerful and very painful monologue. The sad fact li that these ignorant bozos like the man speaking, continue to proudly display their stupidity and ignorance all because of a "fear" a god that is in the end would never let them in the gates of heaven even if they begged. Course, who knows. I was raised with the belief that only god knows the answers to this very important action, so maybe they have committed enough evil acts to quality.
