There is something about jealousy that can bring people together or tear them apart. What I love about this play is that even though the characters are older, they could be any age because we have gone through this situations in high school, college, work life and pretty much any place you can imagine and this theme of jealousy and overcoming that feeling is timeless for most every human who claims to be a part of that race.

Even through all the laughs, there is a sense of urgency and despair as Jake realizes that his and Nicole's marriage won't make it past his unfaithfulness and that is hit home by Nicole's confession though even though she had all the magazine covers and such, he used to have her, but not any more.

So many times I get the sinks that won't turn on or soap that doesn't come out or worse, soap that does dispense and then the water doesn't turn on and I feel just like the Jessie, stuck waiting for someone to help me get these automatic contraptions to work.

A play that is riveting from start to finish and and has a thriller-like quality to it that's memorizing. Vitka Kempner shows and leads by example as Dalia comes to her about her abusive husband to be able to stand on her own and as her own person with what she was as wife under an abusive man. Freedom is never appreciated until it's taken away from us and these two women remind us how thankful we should be every day when we have it and can be our own person with our own set of dreams.
