  • Lee R. Lawing: Chapter Envy

We all know those people, those spoilers who just can't help themselves when it comes to spilling about an upcoming chapter in the book or an episode on television where you wanted to be surprised with the reveal or events unfolding. And in today's world, you can't even get online without seeing some spoiler to whatever it us you're into, a sports game, a television series ending or just a good book that you want to lose yourself in for at least some time without any knowledge of the ending.

  • Lee R. Lawing: Seventh Inning Stretch (Ten Minute)

All of us have those moment in our lives where we just want the world to end tomorrow instead of facing the embarrassing situation. I can't even begin to think why it must be like for Max or any of the social media bloopers that people make and these days. This play is so touching and shows that the gods did give us something that we definitely should be thankful for every day: resilience!

  • Lee R. Lawing: Burying the Lead (or Playing Dead)

There are no small parts in the theater and there are certainly no shortages of vocal actors who have to let you know what they feel would be best for the production. Busser's play is laugh out loud funny and would be an hysterical addition to any festival around!

  • Craters of the Moon is one of those spots on earth where you do feel that everything you ever thought about the earth goes away as you do have that feeling you've stepped into another world which can't even be possible on the blue and green marble. This is a tense-filled play which leaves you feeling uneasy from the very start and makes you rethink who you might go on hike with in the future.

  • Lee R. Lawing: The Incredible Holcomb

Yes, it was a different time for sure. I was subject to bullying all through school and I often felt the way Edmund must have felt and every day it was always the same. Even though times have changed, the sad fact that bullying still occurs and this tale is as horrific as it is emotionally draining in thinking that sometimes, it's too late for anyone's "sorrys" or atonement and you're left to wait for your judgement and punishment as decided by the gods above.

  • Lee R. Lawing: ENTER TWO WITCHES

Had me at the title, but also had me with the dialogue and all the fun I had reading it. And what is that third sister doing on that boat? Forget the sailor! LOL. This writer had the play of the day for me and it's always fun to dig past that and look at the other work of these writers.

  • Lee R. Lawing: Tree Hugs

Congratulations on the Smith & Kraus inclusion. There's nothing like memories and going back to what you visited as a child and seeing that the world has gotten bigger or more beautiful than it was the last time you visited. Davis's journey to bring his dad's ashes back to this place that meant to much to him reminds me that nature offers such a beautiful "forever" resting place.

  • Lee R. Lawing: Autumn's Fall

Yes, there is such a big difference and I'm getting to that age (or have gotten to it I am sure some would consider) where the definitions do matter. I slipped on the ice last month and thankfully no one saw it because after I fell down and hit my head hard against the sidewalk, I was glad for my decision for wearing my very very puffy stocking hat and the fact that I did contemplate this very thing, did I have "a fall" or did I just fall. I did the quick check-ins and decided on the latter.

  • Lee R. Lawing: Musicals to My Ears

How can I resist a play where the person breaks into musical lyrics and annoys all the Donalds around her and we've all known a few Donalds in our life. When the spirit hits you, you've got to sing and Janet does just that. Anyone into the musical art form will appreciate this play so much and may even want to break into a song or two as they read it, can I hear a yay to Wicked!

  • Lee R. Lawing: The Loneliest Number

The song says, one is the loneliest number that you've ever do and in this horror play, it certainly will remain lonely once it since it's lost the game being played. Eerie and very unsettling.
