  • Lee R. Lawing: Are You in Love Yet

Saw this great play on Back Porch Theater acted by Mirada Jonte and Vince Gatton and it was so well done there and a beautiful play overall. Dating is hard enough in it of itself, but online dating brings it to another level of difficulty if not level of hell especially with the Q&A session that Helen and Jeremy participate in.

  • Lee R. Lawing: The Bra Bust

It's never too late to start again on anything. Anne learns this valuable lesson while looking for bras. She and her friend also get a little more woke in the process and that lesson is something every one of us should study for at various points throughout our entire lives Yesterday was great, tomorrow a whole lot better we hope, but today is where we all need to rest for a little bit and if you stop long enough you might discover grand things that you never knew before about yourself, the world and the drink of your choice.

  • Lee R. Lawing: Euripides, You Buy-a Dese

Another punny and down-right funny play by Busser that goes down smoothly like most philosophical schools of thought. Seems that dates (the kind with other people) have always been a hard thing to figure out for the youth of their generation. You'll be glad you took a few moments to spend some time at Maxie's store to find out how Doria and HOrace do on theirs.

  • Lee R. Lawing: The Unjust Sound of Unseen Waves

Without ugliness there can be no beauty or so the saying goes. I was always attracted to the monsters up front without apology. Sickles gives us a beautiful play about those in the world who have been deemed monsters by our society and in that decree given others the right to kill them because they have been labeled and designated by humans as those monsters I love that the Minotaur is given a new light in which to see itself and end its days with that new enlightenment that it's not stuck with its human label till the end days.

  • Lee R. Lawing: COMIN' ALIVE AT 35

The beautiful take-away from Lermond's monologue is that it's never too late to become the person you feel you deserve to be to, goddess or not!

  • Lee R. Lawing: Down to a Science (Monologue)

This monologue nails so many o of the truths about why we are here in a situation which is miraculous in and of itself, being able to live on a planet out of zillion of them and knowing there is just this one and not a reserve planet waiting in the wings when this one fails--why don't we as people start, even if we start with just one hour out of our day , to love one another just a little more and try to protect this mother that we seem so ready to throw away for good.

Wow, this packs a so much power into the minute and was the today's featured play. So glad it was!

  • Lee R. Lawing: THE SPLENDID GIFT

There is a beauty that has its own definition when it comes to our relationships we have with the animals we love Suzanne has that beauty with her horse and this monologue will tear the heartstrings our of anyone who loves animals like Suzanne does. Senseless violence like the one that Suzanne faced are acts which truly can only stop if we just do away with guns. Other countries have done as such and not seemed to face an end of civilization by doing so. If we had done that Suzanne would still be here able braid her horse's mane.

  • Lee R. Lawing: Creative Partners

We've all been Claires in our life so many times and there have been times when the thought of giving up is easier to contemplate than continuing, but this play offers up that piece of writing that has been there since the start of time--the playwright's support, their rock they lean on, their friend they send every thing they write to to judge and critique and give that support that they can do this little thing they've set out to do which is to be a writer and one that's a little recognized now and then.

  • Lee R. Lawing: 2 Bdrm 1 Bath

Some say that one of the best ways to survive a relationship in tact is having separate bedrooms and bathrooms from the very beginning to leave the mystery intact. I would love to see this one filmed with Jacquelyn in the lead. I love her sense of humor and her way of connecting us all to something so familiar living in a too small of space and what that actually means when it comes down to it. With her 2Brm 1 Bath I get a very clear picture of the funny it can bring out in all of us.
