    It's Christmas, so it must be time for another Scott Sickles' holiday celebration spectacular....or is it? In fact, this tear at your heartstrings short is a holiday play and so much more. A whodunnit AND a what-happened to the Christmas turkey dinner, that must be solved before the feasting can begin. A beautifully layered piece that begins with blood and ends with acceptance. Bravo!

    I read "Miracle on Hollywood and Vine" once, and then just had to read it again to make sure I hadn't missed anything in this deceptively simple, yet so richly layered short play about two friends marooned in the middle of nowhere. The fact that they have landed at a different 'Hollywood and Vine' from the one they intended is just another opportunity. An opportunity to meditate on the nature of stars, their place in the universe, and the true meaning of friendship. Lovely!

And anyone who has had the experience of trying to travel in a snowstorm will be instantly on tenterhooks to see how this drama turns out. There are just enough twists and turns to keep audiences guessing, and the ending is sweet and satisfying. What a trip!

A ghost story set on stage that turns into a mystery, and has more twists and turns than you would expect in a short play. Nice roles for actors, and a chance for a sound designer to shine as well. An obvious choice for all haunted theatres everywhere!

What makes this piece stand out though is the switcheroo in the second half when the woman, now much older, gets exactly that. There's a whole raft of emotions for the actor to explore—packed into a short play that makes its points with accuracy and precision.
