  • Dominica Plummer: One is the Road

I saw this at the 2018 Midwest Dramatists Conference and it is a haunting piece that compels the audience's attention. Loewenstern grabs your attention with the first line, pulls you on board with the driver, and gives you the ride of a lifetime.

  • Dominica Plummer: COACH BECKY: A LITTLE LEAGUE T-BALL MONOLOGUE

Coach Becky is the coach that every parent loves to hate. But audiences will love Asher Wyndham's character. Whether coaching Little League or commenting on life in the bleachers and beyond, Becky pitches it straight at the unwary helicopter parent to hilarious effect. Highly recommended!

  • Dominica Plummer: Comfort Zone

A touching play about two unlikely roommates who make a connection by stepping outside of their comfort zone. It's impossible not to root for these characters—two people who have walled themselves in as a result of personal tragedy, but somehow find the strength to help each other get past their pain, and move on to more hopeful futures. Kaplan gives us a realistic, yet inspiring drama about surviving loss.

  • Dominica Plummer: Man & Wife

What an amazing play. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it for the powerful plot, and the sharp and satirical dialogue. But this lively two hander is just so much more than a play about a married couple as they move through life. Sure this play is about love, but it's also about politics, including gender dysphoria, climate change, abortion—you name it, this playwright has found a way to make it part of the story of this couple's journey together. A play for two actors that encompasses the world. Well done, Emma Goldman-Sherman!

  • Dominica Plummer: RENATA: A POST-MATERNITY MONOLOGUE

Brilliant piece about a "take no prisoners" employee who is rightly steamed when she finds she is being shunted into obscurity after returning from maternity leave. Renata is one of those unforgettable characters whom you root for from line one—and it's so satisfying to see her get her revenge on her sneaky boss. Go, Renata, and go Asher Wyndham for such a wonderful monologue!

  • Dominica Plummer: Edmund Fitzwater Doesn’t Have Any Answers for You

A nicely creepy 10 minute play that sets up a great situation involving three friends and a phone app that claims to know the future. Loved the sharp and witty writing, and the carefully crafted suspense had me on the edge of my seat. Bohannon will keep the audience guessing!

  • Dominica Plummer: Help! I'm Trapped in a Monologue Written by Matthew Weaver!

Brilliantly conceived monologue that goes to town on every playwright's secret terrors. I laughed out loud and winced in self-recognition in about equal measure, all the while thinking what fun the actors will have with this play!

  • Dominica Plummer: Ms. Claus

Delightful. Audiences won't be able to resist such a charmingly determined Santa who displays such remarkable skill in both gift giving and arm twisting to land the job of her dreams. Congratulations to Patrick Gabridge who has earned his milk and cookies with this sparkling seasonal gem.

  • Dominica Plummer: And the Universe Didn't Blink

A beautiful, beautiful play about a young girl's search for her dead father, helped by her agoraphobic aunt, a long dead Arctic explorer, and the ever present stars. Claudia Haas knows how to take the small, ordinary space of a New York apartment and turn it into something as vast as an unexplored universe. Perfect for young audiences, but really, for audiences of any age.

  • Dominica Plummer: EVERYBODY HATES MARIAH CAREY

Carnes is note perfect in this darkly comic two-hander where the Christmas that went wrong doesn't even begin to describe the horrors awaiting the characters as they contemplate the past. Even Santa will be "ho-ho-ho-ing" at this one. Recommended!
