    L. Jan Eira's skill in combining his knowledge of the medical sciences and craft for psychological thriller strikes again! A wonderful read that would be a great fit for any festival and especially those who wish to give a meaty role to a younger actress.
  • Meet the Family

A wonderful piece that is good for the whole family, but still has some grip! Loved it!

A spot-on satirical piece. Danley accomplishes a lot with a little with a quick-witted and yet, natural dialogue. Great piece.
  • The Banishment Room
    25 Aug. 2020
A smart piece that leaves the reader wanting to know the next chapter for Amy. Martin weaves a tale that, while seemingly outlandish in nature, rings true to those who have been caught in the grind of the corporate ladder. The concept of the a 'banishment room' is brilliant in its own right, but what really makes this piece worth the read is Martin's writing.

A very original piece that is a powerful example of Malakhow's ability to create complex and deep characters. I have never seen a play use the sense of smell so much in a piece and Malakhow does it in a truly authentic unforced way. It's a tender tale that circles theses of co-dependency and genuine growth. Jason and Robbie have such unique takes on the world and continued to keep me engaged. I would really like to see this in person, as I think it would pop on stage.

Martin does it again! I had the pleasure of seeing it performed and streamed on YouTube for the Fat Turtle 10-Minute Play Festival. Not only did the production do an amazing job of capturing the tension of the main pair (which is vast and complicated!), but when the 'unexpected' visitor comes along things begin to come back together and we see the love that is in this piece. Martin does a great job with adding the fantastical component of time manipulation to this sweet tale.
  • Counterpoint

A short and sweet piece about passions found and passions lost and how music can connect even the seemingly most unconnected of people.
  • My Body
    25 Aug. 2020
Can this be real? Bublitz turns the tables on the fight for women's body autonomy rights and creates a brilliant short that leaves me wishing this was the world I lived in. A fantastic addition to any 10-minute play festival.
  • Confirmation Bias

There is a ton of depth in this emotional 10-minute journey. The spark that ignited this piece is well seen, but so are the liberties Malakhow takes in his plot. Looking at this piece through a modern-day lens, it is a tear-jerker as you watch David struggle with self-acceptance during a time where it was truly considered 'wrong' to love who you love. A great read by a talented playwright.

This is my first introduction to Gunderson's work and...wow, this show takes complicated (often theoretical) science and turns it into a fascinating and real page-turner! There are several layers to Gunderson's work making it a very interesting piece of theatre that pushes us to our limits as an audience and gives a director lots of things to play with. Would love to see this staged!
