A lot is accomplished here in a short time. Definitely left me thinking and a little spooked.

  • Samantha Marchant: The Shark Exorcist

Well done! Father Williams delivers some great lines and Agatha seems like a fun part to play/watch.

  • Samantha Marchant: G City Monologues

An excellent parody that stands firmly on its own. I love how it is structured as separate monologues, each character in their own light/space, while it is deeply rooted in connection to place, the hero, and each other. And then to end it by turning the lights off one by one, until we are left with one - THE one - “the poster child of the new era” - excellent.

  • Samantha Marchant: Budapest Kiseret

“I’m sorry it would have made for a better story if I had gone the other way but I didn’t,” is such a great line! And I’m glad the character went the way he did. This script held my curiosity throughout. How each character communicates would be a pleasure to watch. The final scene sounds like it would be an awesome sight to see fully realized.

  • Samantha Marchant: For a Limited Time Only (The Bread Play)

“You can dream better dreams than just being able to sleep wherever you want.” And boy, did Prillaman dream up one hell of a script! A play about eating that will leave you full and satisfied even with a bit of an ambiguous (and perfect) ending. I can tell Arlo and Val love each other (they had me at Bake Off accents) and the Server serves every time.

  • Samantha Marchant: Stories for the End of the World

This is a very exciting script and I would love to see it in production! Each scene has it’s own thing going for it and it gets progressively weirder in a wonderful way. Act 6 is unbelievably devastating and well written. Some lines and moments I really dug include: “GERALD Grit? Really? MORGAN It sounds Middle America.,” “GOD #1 You’re going to kill them to create a Hallmark movie.” and the movement in the scene with the rope.

  • Samantha Marchant: Loose Hog

"I wish I had another sucker to give you… lime is a very comforting flavor." The tension between these two characters is thick. Grabbed and held tight my attention throughout. The reveal of what's in his bag left me thinking about the meaning behind this wonderful line, "You have to be real good to do something real bad."

  • Samantha Marchant: The Book of Magdalene

Rhapsodic and aching - there are so many lines and moments in this play that I love. Putting paintings on the floor just to say you have them, playing hide-&-seek without lives, owing money to coworkers who just died... Svich beautifully sums up in the line "Abt ordinary life but how it gets struck by the strangest kinds of things."

  • Samantha Marchant: An Earnest Woman

I'm a big Oscar Wilde and T.K. Lee fan. So a play about Wilde by Lee? I'm there! And no disappointment here. Lee delivers on sharp wit, utterly ridiculous characters in the Davis family (love the use of the off-stage Jefferson!), and a powerful ultimate scene between Oscar and Hester.

  • Samantha Marchant: A Jewish Woman Walks into a Maloca

An enthralling, funny, intimate one person show. The character invites the audience in on their journey held my attention with ease. The relationship between past and present is an offering for the mind to gnaw on.
