Wonderful riff on Ionesco and absurdism. I love each of the three main characters' last moments. The townspeople are too funny!

  • Samantha Marchant: The Unjust Sound of Unseen Waves

I would love to see this in a night of short plays! Sickles takes your mind on such adventures while he only calls for one actor on stage. He invites your mind to soar. I love what is included from mythology and what's expanded upon to include today and illusion. Izar is a fabulous character with powers to dig into. Poseidon better watch out! The Minotaur (especially if voiced by two actors at the same time) gave me chills!

  • Samantha Marchant: Here Rests the Heart

I loved reading this play and I want to see it! Polak weaves parallels between time and space with ease. The protest moments at the beginning and end are striking bookends. I'm so into the use of ghosts and Chopin's monologue. Act II is such a powerful interlude. I so appreciate the musings on time and action. I dig how many characters get to have intimate moments. Highly recommend!

  • Samantha Marchant: Cupid Retires . . . Again! (A Monologue)

Riding in on a bike in a faded pink thong sets the funny tone to the scene right off the bat. The ways modernity thwarts cupid are smart. I think his last job seems like a sweet one. I hope it goes well!

This stage manager is in charge! I love it. Funny circumstances with a funny twist. Well done.

Love the layering in the restaurant and the end. Many stunning moments. Each character would be great to unpack in production. Well done!

  • Samantha Marchant: Coq au Vin (a monologue)

I feel for Sophia, some time the anxiety to impress is too much! I'm glad it all comes to a head and she's able to leave the mess behind.

  • Samantha Marchant: Greetings from the Red Planet

I was struck by the repetition and revision, space and the sea and all the beautiful moments with the stars.
