As a reader, I was happily swept up in the theatricality of this script. I think it will be stunning to see this script realized on stage.

I'm in awe of the ease of this play. The balance is just right. I would love to see this live. It's perfect for the current times and beyond. I was rooting for this couple and ending with song and post-its was great. The eulogy scene will stick in my head for a long time. Wonderful.

  • Samantha Marchant: The Real Witch

Lovely. Lang does a great job of depicting these two kids' hearts. The amount of magic sprinkled on top is perfect.

  • Samantha Marchant: Not Really (Little Star)

A touching monologue of loss and time. It uses repetition to create a eloquent flow.

  • Samantha Marchant: Daisy Violet the Bitch Beast King

I absolutely love how physically messy this script is - starting with the wonderful stage directions describing the girls' dresses and the dirt from the plants and ending with the art installation. The dialogue flows with ease and the scenes fall nicely into the next. Weird and well crafted. Highly recommend.

  • Samantha Marchant: WINDBERRY CREEK

Carnes does a wonderful job crafting three full formed intergenerational women. Lots of humor and heart!

  • Samantha Marchant: The Tiger Play

Phelan's writing does a great job pulling Mabel and the audience this way and that when exploring this love triangle. The differences and similarities between Louis and Rajah the Tiger are striking as they ask for all of Mabel, but is she willing to give over her full self? The use of movement and dance would be wonderful to see on stage.

  • Samantha Marchant: A Reputation (A Short Monologue About Matthew Weaver, Whom I Have Never Met and Hopefully Takes No Issue With the Existence of the Following Existential Musings)

This is so great. It's generous and kind and funny and on the macro existential level it set my mind soaring with thoughts of names, standings, writing and relationships.

  • Samantha Marchant: Pandora & The Box

Written with a striking texture, the language of this script is a pleasure to read and, I'm sure, exciting to hear.

Stunning! The lists and links and beautiful steps Guest's writing takes you through come together like a song. This play needs to be done many times and I hope to see it.
