  • John Adams: The Briefing

This play was a thoughtful (though depressing) look back at recent history and how that history impacts us today. It's well-researched and informative, but beyond that, it dramatizes how we process information -- and then choose to selectively re-process that same information.

  • John Adams: Spring Break

This is a fun play with distinct characters. Great dialogue, and a nice stage picture. Though the play is set in a very specific moment in time, it has a universality to it that will let it play strongly over time.

  • John Adams: I'll Tell You at Sunrise

I saw a staged reading of this at the 2018 Midwest Dramatists Conference, and it blew me away! I don't want to say too much, but this is a very powerful piece with two distinct voices. It deals with some pretty complex issues in its 10 minutes, but its smooth and believable. Fantastic ending!

  • John Adams: THE SAUNA

I saw a reading of this at the 2018 Midwest Dramatists Conference. Very interesting absurdist piece! It packs a lot into the short time, and has a distinct (and memorable!) ending. I think this one will do particularly well with theatre-savvy folks but will also resonate with the non-theatre crowd. Nicely done!
