What Lindsay Partain has created here is exceptionally haunting. There is something so eerie about this scenario, but you can’t help for feel for this character who must bare the weight of this knowledge. A lovely piece to read as we come up on the holiday season.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Boat Spotting

A perfect look into summer love and what it means to love someone. Dylan Horowitz masterfully brings this story to life with wonderful world-building. You feel as if you're right there on the dock with these characters as they battle through society together. I had the honor to voice Ash in Broken Arts Entertainment's audio recording of this piece! Such a fun and intimate character to bring to life.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: The Sun, the Moon, and Salena

A brilliant story within a story, Paul Pasulka creates dynamic characters that bring a new legend to life as they manage their feelings toward one another. I had the please of voicing John in Broken Arts Entertainment's audio recording of this piece. This is definitely a must-read!

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Mutual Attraction

A perfectly crafted meet-cute! Donald E. Baker is able to set up a sweet and charming encounter in just one page and keeps you hooked for a very fun pay-off.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Under the Floorboards

It's unsettling, it's creepy, but in the same way, it's poetic. This is a fantastic piece that would allow three performers to connect and feed off each other's energy. Dana Hall creates a fantastic piece of on-stage thriller and draws the audience in with at first in-depth character review before letting them run wild and play with the minds of the audience. Bravo!

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: The Haunting of Bellflower Manor (ten-minute play)

A really fun horror-comedy between a home-owner and a psychic, Enid Cokinos provides nothing but laughs in this 10-minute piece. The Roomba joke is perhaps one of the best I've ever seen in any piece of media, and the twist resolution is brought forth very cleanly and wraps the story up with a big, ole bow.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: I Don't DO Holidays

Daniel Prillaman creates a brilliant piece of comedy that has you questioning tradition and its role in society and our lives. What I love about Prillaman is how aware they are of holiday fever and those who just can't get behind it. I think this play is really great at highlighting both sides of the argument and letting readers live in this world.

Rapist Pillager Discovers Land Already Discovered Day had me laughing out loud.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: like their lives depend on it

Christopher Soucy creates a brilliant 10-minute piece full of tension. He brings up a tough topic in today's social climate and puts it in front and center in an interrogation room where he answers your questions by not telling you anything at all. This would be a challenging piece for their seasoned performers, but one that any festival would benefit from producing.

First off, what an absolutely brilliant concept for a play. Being told through a series of mini-monologues, Joe Swenson takes us through a tale of uncertainty below when two space explorers make their way back home. But what exactly is left of their home? An absolute thriller of a time and a must-read!

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Soft Rains

I think what is most brilliant here is we don't know what is happening outside this scene. Something is ravaging the Earth, that much we know, but what exactly? We know it's enough to cause this much distress between these two characters and enough to create that amount of distrust. I love a Jacquie Floyd-Priskorn play because she is great at building tension and keeping you on the edge of your seat. Lovely work!
