  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Scared

I didn't think it was possible for a piece of theatre to make me feel so much in such a short amount of time. Wyn Alyse Thomas brilliantly creates a story that is all too real and perfectly demonstrates what many people today feel in regards to gun violence.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: The Wedding Recessional I Imagine My Parents Had in 1971 (2 minutes)

This is relatable. As a kid I would've thought this was fiction, but as an adult with 6+ years to process my parent's divorce, this doesn't seem far from truth that many people probably (and sadly) faced. Marcia Eppich-Harris created a great piece of theatre with this short play!

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Prior Engagement (or the Stairwell Death Play)

This is a play everyone needs to read. It is one of the most beautiful pieces of theatre I have ever read. The dialogue feels so real, the world building is so natural and breathtaking, the ending is just... wow. Hannah Lee DeFrates demonstrates a brilliant display of creating strong emotional conflict. I was not expecting the ending the way it went down. I was not expecting for that shock to hit me like it did. This was an amazing piece.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Last Writes

This is any theatre-artists dream. The possibilities in characterizations, costumes, lighting, set pieces and transitions, this play is everything. Gadomski expertly brings a question I'm sure everyone has thought about at one time or another to life in a very humorous way, and overall nails the delivery!

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: The Disappearance of Greta

Wow. This was so fantastic, Plumridge truly created something special here. The distinction of all the characters, the WWII setting is created so wonderfully and that ending? Oh my goodness that ending was unexpected! Plumridge does a great job at building suspense and hiding that twist throughout the entire piece! Great work!

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: To the Class of Miskatonic University 2022

Having just graduated this past May, this was such a fun and relatable read. Of course, my university didn't nearly have as many accidents and tragedies as Miskatonic University did, but Soucy creates an exciting universe in just a couple pages with a extremely dynamic character in Shelby. If you are getting into monologue writing, this is a good place to start for inspiration!

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Old Junk

A brilliant and heart-wrenching story in only 10 minutes! Cole creates a fabulous dynamic between family members as Sherry wants to expand her family, but in doing so actually pushes her remaining family away. Fantastic work!

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: Title

Wow. This has been in my reading list for a long while and I'm glad I finally got to give it a read! This is a great ten-minute piece that is thrilling, exciting and genially written. Martin Heavisides creates a lovely piece that pays wonderful homage to "The Most Dangerous Game."

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: The Interior

Wow. This. Now this is good freaking theatre. Scott Sickles is a playwright I often find myself coming back to, and for good reason. Everything about this piece is so good and is so inspiring. The characterization is brilliant, the pacing is phenomenal, everything about this piece is just brilliant. I love the story and the twist and turns it takes. It's creepy as hell and is a situation many are afraid to be in, but the ending is just so nice and truly the cherry on top of this wonderful sundae.

Heartbreaking, heart wrenching, every good and sad emotion is felt throughout this read. John Mabey created a lovely piece that packs a punch and leaves audiences in the feels. This is defiantly one you don't want to skip.
