  • Asher Wyndham: Inflatable Fools

Wet hell? No flames? Floaties on stage? Count on Bultrowicz for an unexpected twist on the regular staple of short American theatre - comedy set in Hell. Ignorance and stupidity isn't bliss in this goofy play. Another winner.

  • Asher Wyndham: Covid-69 minus 68 (a monologue)

Lawing captures perfectly the social life on Grindr and other apps for many gay men before and during this pandemic. The frustation over missed opportunities and disapppointing convos is something that many will relate to. It's a bit sad and funny, a perfect combo.

  • Asher Wyndham: Rainy Night in a Piazza of Stone: a monologue for a dancer

One of the most physical monologues I've read on NPX. A monologue that calls for a choreographer - that's rare. Another arresting monologue from Sickles.

  • Asher Wyndham: If You Could Go Back...

College students, new to acting or not, would have a lot of fun with this loopy play.

  • Asher Wyndham: Pep Talk - a monologue

A believable pep talk pre-Zoom date captures pent-up horniness and desire for connection during the pandemic. Funny and ridiculous because it's relatable. Every word, every line, every thought and choice this character makes makes us fall in love with her more. An actor could make effective and entertaining use of space and props in this physical/active monologue to win over a director in the audition room.

  • Asher Wyndham: Mario Kart: A Sonata

Another outstanding examination of young adult masculinity from Hageman, this time delivered with a surprising use of structure to explore its themes. Capturing varied experiences with academic & athletic performance, school pressure, and family life, this playwright yet again gives us truths, vulnerabilities and emotions of young men that we rarely seen on the stage. This is the kind of theatre for an audience with high-school and college-aged men in the audience need right now--and also actors (esp. newbies).

  • Asher Wyndham: Wolf & Pig (a one-minute play)

A Zoomable fun time for adults and kids. The longing for 'back to normal' post-Covid, even if that means reconnecting with our frenemies, is something that many in the audience will find relatable.

  • Asher Wyndham: DIFFICULT MONKEYS

Don't dismiss this play as joke after joke. Carnes does more in exploring the difficulty of relationship maintenance between Minky (an agender sock puppet) and Billie (a human male) than most playwrights with two human beings.
This is the most intense sock puppet play in the history of World Theatre*. Can Carnes outdo this one? This play ends on a cliffhanger, so I can't wait for the next installment.

    *Not kidding, for real.

  • Asher Wyndham: The Meadow - 10 Minute Play

Definitely one of my favorite mystery plays on NPX. Just when you think you couldn't be surprised again, Kaminiski does it again and then one more time. I hope this has a long life in short play festivals. It's deserving of all its recognition on NPX.

  • Asher Wyndham: DOLORES THE PLUMBER - MONOLOGUE

Dolores the Plumber deserves an entire series! One of Lermond's most memorabe creations. I would love to see this plumber in pink burst to life on stage or on Zoom screen.
