Open is a stirring, exciting, breathtaking and deeply moving piece of theater. The play is brilliantly written, Crystal at her finest, we're clearly watching a master writer at work, not only technically perfect but with her heart left on every word. I've seen a lot of plays about magic, that use the metaphor of storytelling and theater as magic, but i don't think I've ever seen it as expertly or successfully executed than in this play. Read and produce this play as far as the eye can see!

This play is chilling, terrifying and so, so smart. This is the queer horror play we NEED. It's so, so wonderful in so many ways. I was often left gasping out loud - both for the horror tropes that are brilliantly executed and for the horror of the reality that this play discusses. I hope that there are theatres out there brave enough to tackle this remarkable play.

This play is gorgeous - Darcy's dialogue is beautiful and these characters are so well-drawn and specific. The story is both epic and intimate and is incredibly moving by its end. I cannot wait to watch this play move through the world and to follow its development. Support this play, produce this play!

YES, THIS PLAY!! This play is remarkable work of art with dialogue that leaps off the page and a myth that is beautifully and painfully woven at the core of a breathtaking story. I look forward to watching this play develop and hope to be front row of a production of it - soon.

Lucky enough to see a production of this in NY and haven't stopped thinking about it. Heartbreaking and powerful and perfect for any season, I hope that this play gets widely produced.

What a beautiful play. There's longing in every word, heartbreaking and poetic in how elegantly it captures everyday life. I love Andrew Massey's work and am so excited to watch this play's journey. Support this play!

A biting, beautifully bold play about how our culture does us wrong. Nobody writes dialogue like Maya and its bold, unparalleled hilarious power is on full display with this play.

I was feeling a little down and so I came here to read this play and it filled me right up with joy and excitement and enthusiasm - I cannot recommend this play highly enough. It's great in so many ways - highly theatrical with strong characters and a nuanced, beating heart at its center. Produce this play often and far and wide - and in NY please so we can all bear witness to Reina's joy.
