  • Kate Danley: Keep Her Dancing

Ah... there were many a night when I wish this product was real! A hilarious commercial spoof that would make for a great interstitial in an evening of short plays!

  • Kate Danley: Wolf on the Ringstrasse

A gorgeous historical play of epic depth and beauty. If Chekhov wrote "Amadeus" about Hugo Wolf, it would have felt like this. The dialog and story are so rich and complex, my brain chewed on them like a Michelin star five-course meal.

  • Kate Danley: My Utmost Devotion

I love a comedy about theatre life and this one ticks all the boxes! It's like if "Noises Off" had a baby with "The Foreigner" and was brought up with Agatha Christie as the nanny. Great character roles, a rollicking plot, sparkling dialog, and would make for an absolutely joyful evening of theatre.

  • Kate Danley: Triflers Need Not Apply

An absolutely fascinating tale of true crime set at the turn of the century about The Black Widow of LaPorte, Indiana. Added onto the jaw-dropping historical facts is the play's original style of storytelling. Think "Peter and the Starcatchers" meets Netflix's "Tiger King." I binge read this without stopping. It would be a perfect play for the Halloween season.

  • Kate Danley: The Widow of Tom's Hill

A beautiful, haunting, lyrical play. And although it was written in 2014, the world Aleks Merilo created when writing about the plague in 1918 resonates eerily with what the world is going through with covid-19. A piece that sticks with you long after the final page. I think it also allows a theatre to present a play that uses the shared emotional experience we've all had without walloping an audience over the head with current events. Really gorgeous and worth the read!

  • Kate Danley: The Window

A delightfully absurdist piece which deftly and cleverly, examines the extremes of living in the now and the over-examined life. It was like a Gary Larson cartoon brought to the stage. SO funny! This would be a crowd pleaser in a night of short plays - both highly entertaining while also touching on some deeper questions about the human experience (while never letting on that it is doing so).

  • Kate Danley: Mermaids

An aching and bittersweet play that explores so many levels of our humanity. It examines life and death, hope and truth, and asks the question that when faced with terminal illness, are the myths we cling any more rooted in reality than believing in mythical beings. And it is done subtly with a deft touch. A beautiful 10-minute piece!

  • Kate Danley: Boldly Go

What a great little piece for a sci-fi themed night of short plays! It will delight all the Trekkers in your crowd while bringing a warm smile those who have no idea what a red shirt means.

  • Kate Danley: Deckchairs

A bitingly delightful social satire that uses the Titanic to draw parallels to what is going on in our world. Great dialog and pacing. And the characters are fascinating - they are both caricatures of archetypes while also perfect representations of people you probably know held up to a mirror for inspection. So smart and clever with laugh-out-loud moments. Highly recommend!

Surreal and absurd with hilarious comedic opportunities. If you live in bear country, your audience will get a total kick out of this gem!
