  • Dan Taube: Tinkerbell

A fantastic, fun and lyrical prequel to the Peter Pan legend. It will delight audiences with its imagination, excursion into fantasy and the wonderful experience of myth made real. You can’t myth with this beautiful play. Read it and produce it. Your audiences will love you for it.

  • Dan Taube: A GUST OF WIND (a two minute monologue)

This one really hits hard. I feel like you spend your youth ignoring your mortality, while getting older is (for some of us) a struggle in acceptance. This powerful piece is a meditation on life, aging and loss. Beautifully drawn, it stays with us long after we are done reading.

  • Dan Taube: WISH YOU WERE HERE, a five minute monologue for an older male

Monologue showcasing one of life’s little inevitability’s-getting older and the changes that must come with that. This stunning monologue really takes you on a journey inside the characters mind, showcasing all the trials and tribulations that come with age. The resolution is beautifully rendered, a stunning moment of acceptance.

  • Dan Taube: ME AND MY KNEE, a three-minute monologue

Mesmerizing piece that takes us on a journey of healing and connection. Filled with details that really make the character come alive for the reader. Specific, vulnerable and moving - I highly recommend reading this powerful monologue. Well done!

  • Dan Taube: Max's Room

Extremely moving play about the need to move on. To heal. To get better. Jenny and Will have gone through an unimaginable nightmare. It is clear through their dialogue how much they still love each other. Though a very sad play, the ending is filled with hope. Amazing. You must read it!

  • Dan Taube: Season Pass

Very meta and very enjoyable. This clever play highlights some of community theatres greatest hits, while also dealing with the inevitable change of life growing pains inherent in the golden years. Read it. Produce it. Very fun!

  • Dan Taube: THE BADDEST KID ON EMERSON

Hero worship is a tricky thing. Usually the reality doesn’t match the fantasy. This is a compelling story about the intersection of myth, legend and reality. Even for a 10 minute play, it moves quickly. Every line of dialogue is like a punch to the gut. The characters are real and complicated and tough. Very powerful play. Highly recommend!

  • Dan Taube: April

You know I really wish death was like it is in plays. This is such a beautiful play and the ending is so moving and full of heart. Even though a big part of this play is about an illness - it’s so much more than that. Believable, heart-warming characters who have a wonderful relationship you will enjoy reading about. Highly recommend!

  • Dan Taube: 23 and Bree (from the THE WRINKLE RANCH AND OTHER PLAYS ABOUT GROWING OLD collection)

Well, I was looking for plays about family and I definitely found a gem. Very complex and layered. The characters draw you in to their individual stories and we are the richer for it. A real treasure!
